Phishing Mails

Have you got them?
I have received phishing mails last week. I got a mail from Amazon that I should submit the requirements for tax as an amazon associate and that I will not be able to receive my money without submitting them. It has the link included. I logged in with our computer to my long time no used associates account. Then I have to approve it. I did but I was still not able to see my account. Then it hit me. I am no longer an associate as I have not earned from amazon products on my sites. That was years ago. I was awake although I was almost asleep before I got that email.
Anyway, the next day, I have seen on my phone that someone sent me a message and called me as well while I was sleeping that night. That call came from Leeds, England. It was strange. How can someone know the iPhone number that not even I know it? Good that I was sleeping that time.
A few days later, I received an email again but from PayPal but I have noticed immediately that it was phishing as the logo of PayPal was wrong. Of course, I didn´t click on that link. Instead, I checked my PayPal account on my Ipad. Thankfully, my money is still there.
No, I have set it in my mind not to open an email in the morning when my brain is not awake yet and before going to bed besides always be careful. I was really shocked as I still have my writing earnings there.
Anyway, thank you very much for your responses to my last post before I took a break. I have missed you all that is why I am back.
The photo is what I received from a suspicious logo of paypal mail.

These days you have to be skeptical since the scammers can be almost convincing that its real

I agree with you that we should be skeptical nowadays. Thank you @Marilynda1225. I have to go to bed now as it is past midnight. See you in your posts tomorrow when I wake up. Goodnight to me. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.

Yes, you have to be careful of those. I have two PayPal accounts because one was the one I set up when I lived in Latvia and it still has about a dollar on it I have been receiving mails that the account has been blocked but I know it hasn't so I just delete the mails.

I get phishing emails every day which bothers me since these characters do not realize that karma will get them one day.

I also often get fake emails on behalf of Paypal. However, if examined, there are differences in the name of the sender. Then I checked my Paypal account. After making sure it's okay, then I mark the email as spam. The funny thing is, the sender of the email mispronounced my email address. Because I have replaced the old Paypal email with a new email.

One must be very careful. Some time ago I was informed that a packet had come but as I wasn't at home, I had to fetch it at the post office. I had to pay 140 Euro for it. (Nachnahme) I do order things occasionally, but I knew that I hadn't ordered anything recently for this price.
I went to the post office and told them to show me the parcel. It was small and flat. I wouldn't be surprised if there were only old newspaper pages inside. I didn't accept it and gave it back. But I copied the name of the sender and checked it at home on the internet. There I learnt that what I had done was the right thing. It was a widespread trick. I was happy that I hadn't fallen for it.

I never open any suspicious email or respond to any suspicious phone call. I NEVER give out my Social Security Number or any other privileged information unless I am 250% sure of whom I'm talking/responding to.

That is good that you are very careful @LindaOHio. We should be more than 100% sure that they are the right persons. Thank you.
