Buying plastic is exciting!

I am a writer. Sometimes that means that I have oodles and scads and piles of paper in cupboards and drawers and sometimes on the floor. I just saw on Facebook that a local person is selling a set of two plastic drawers- black lids and even handles. The drawers stack and are made to house printer paper. Hoo boy. Bring them to me! This untidy and messy and somewhat buried person needs those babies. I will take hubby to work in the morning then zip over to the seller's house and fork over seven dollars. When I get home I will open my cupboard that houses short stories, poetry bits etc. and see what can be captured.

Organizing papers really help for sure. I'm looking for a tiny desk with a couple pull out drawers. I have my stuff in two plastic tub things but don't like it like that.

@noni1959 Good to hear from you. My paper stuff is mostly housed in an antique high legged radio cabinet. I need to further corral it. For about a dozen years I have written a Yule Tale. I keep one or two for me- every one has a separate cover. There are leftover stacks of the paper I've used for covers etc.

@sallypup I had a huge antique hutch in my old home library. It was so tall it wouldn't fit in a normal ceiling home. My house there was 22 ft ceilings. I kept my craft, papers, games and such in it. I'm always cleaning out here since my place is very tiny. it's always good to hear from you.

@noni1959 Your hutch intrigues me. Must have been lovely. I wonder how tall the celings are in the house that I bought in Centralia? I always assumed 12 foot but I am not good at numbers. (Hubby said he would hire someone to put light bulbs in the light fixtures.)

Do you hand write or print yours?

@andriaperry Both hand write and print. My Yule Tales are mini hand collated books- my husband binds them after Staples prints them. I need to gather up those and see what I have left. Sometimes during the year someone will ask for one. Then I have to scramble to see if I have one and where it is. Maybe I can really get organized? My last short story is about 12 pages long so handwriting is too much work. For that I grab the computer keyboard.

And I need a shredder, I get tons of mail from insurance companies and such that have my name and address on em so shredding before recycling would be nice.

I think it is a good idea. It is better than the steel cabinet.
