Day 1: New Sprouts Growing in My Garden

It's been raining a lot the past few days. To make up for the missing sun, we’re having a lot of activities at home.
We’ve been planting all sorts of new plants that if I look out the window, I can see them lining up. Avocado pits, cactus, seasonal flowers, red paprika, green paprika, red paprika, tomato seeds, guava, rambutan, mango… They’re put inside little, black polybags.
And then when they are grown a little, we move them inside small pots, bigger pots, and eventually we plant them on the ground.
Newly planted seeds don't need too much sun. But they do get destroyed by the heavy rain, and it's been raining a lot here in Jakarta. Mornings, noons, nights.
So before it really pours, we need to move these new plants out of the way. It will take a long time before they start growing fruits, so for the time being just need to be very diligent and keep them away from harm, and pesky bugs. Many bugs and plant-eating critters are around during the rainy season.
What about you? What plants are growing in your garden?

Indeed, Indonesia is currently raining a lot, causing flood. I like planting flowers . flowers in Indonesia are sold in high prices, including anglonema plant. Do you have it?

@itsmesheima The seeds we don't. We only buy the fruits and then clean the seeds to plant. But we do buy the "benih tanaman" and I don't know what that is in English. It's like a mini plant that the seeders have prepared, and we just need to put them in pots.

I wish I can plant more flowers. I bought a dozen of the flowers I saw online and tried to grow them, but they are really challenging. They won't grow even though we put them in the sun. I have one that looks like anglonema but maybe not, because we bought it very cheap. It's purple. I'll try to take a photo and post it here.

Only a gardener knows the joy when they see sprouts from seeds that have been sown. I am one of them.

@allknowing We also have a lot of bushes here, and fruit bats. They like to circle around the fruits.

It's a nice feeling when you see improvement on the plants you made to grow isn't?
A few years back i was in my hometown,i just tried to cut branch of moringa and planted, that time is rainy season, and i am so glad when i saw leaves begin to sprout from it.
Not all are success in growing plants.
I'm glad you made it.

It is a very nice feeling, something to look up to every day. How nice to actually see a moringa tree grow... Sometimes the plants I bought whither anyways, even though I've done everything the seller tells me to do, so I guess there's also a bit of luck in the hobby. But I will not let that bring me down.

Your plants look lovely , it is nice to be able to grow your own food. We have fruit trees and bushes growing in our garden which keep coming back every year with more and more fruit.

Thank you, @lazydaizee. It definitely feels a lot better with plants around. I love the fruits we have. Maybe one day I can bake with them and maybe make pies or jams, but pretty fruits like strawberries and bananas don't grow well in our soil. We still need to buy.

There are so many who switch into planting ornamental plants. Gardening is now the stress reliever of so many.Restrictions in going out due to covid has caused boredom and so gardening or planting became one of the hobbies and additional income.

Last month I also tried to plant tomatoes and red chilli. Both are now growing bigger. The past few days here in my place is so hot, I am so afraid the plant would get sunburn...
