I Cook, He Cleans

It seemed slow here today, so I cooked my head off.

Some dishes take to dang long to prepare so I stick with the simple stuff.

I try to clean as I go, but couldn't manage tonight. My hubs teases me that I am a cooking slob.

The cleanup is always the worst. My husband helps me with everything. We make a great team! lol

I made shepherd's pie! We loved it and hubs cleaned up what was left. Getting ready for a bath and a movie.

@Shiva49 I agree. I also contributed to finances when I worked. The only thing I won’t let him touch is the laundry. He turned too many white items pink and shrunk a few of my outfits.

@DianneN Not fair not to contribute for mutual benefit. Caring through sharing the chores is the right way.

Hubs usually does that, too, after he shovels a path to the grill. Enjoy your dinner. Tonight it's Saturday date night and I shouldn't be cooking.

@DianneN I love All-Clad pans! Although all of my pots and pans aren't All-Clad. We have a lesser quality set we had since we got our first place . . . we still use those! We went hiking in the next county . . . a place in the hills where they used to film a lot of movies/commercials (I guess). No water, but we are supposed to get rain this week - so maybe then. Oh no, that headache is still lingering? I hope you feel tons better very soon. Yah, I never get entirely caught up .

What eagle eyes you have!. Yes, you are right. When we redid the kitchen, I replaced all my pots and pans with All-Clad. Aren’t they great? My old pots and pans are in Florida. What a nice thing to do with the family on a Saturday afternoon. Did you see any water in the creek? I haven’t been here much due to a blinding headache. You are not alone trying to catchup.

@much2say The kids were out of college when I bought them. It was like throwing myself a showe. . How cool is that? You must have seen some beautiful views. Rain is good! I feel a little better, but can’t take much more on here, even though I feel overwhelmed.

Last night was just one of those meals that had me stirring pots and making a huge mess. My husband just told me he would need about 1000 chicken wings if I made them for dinner.

@DianneN I know that I bought 1 Kg (a little more than two pounds) and it was enough for us.
