What is One of the Best Compliments You Have Ever Received?

This acquaintance (who had known some characters & shady people in his life) said I was one of the few genuine people he had ever met. That meant a lot, because, I really try to live my life honestly & be true to myself & still be kind & considerate to others. If my friends say that about me, I appreciate it. If they've known me for awhile, then they should be aware I'm genuine. Someone who would recognize that, after only spending a little time with me, it shows that is something I come by naturally.

The best compliment that's ever been told to me is that my eyes are very pretty. I don't know why, i just happy to hear that haha

@shxrubia Some people do have really nice eyes. With some it's the color, shape, spirit you see in them, all of the above.

@sharon6345 He sees how kind & genuine you are. Being able to trust is important. I'm glad he feels this way about you.

One that comes to mind: a few years ago I was looking for something in Walmart and a young man (much younger than me) said, "Can I tell you something?" I had no idea what it might be, but he said, "You are so pretty." I told him how sweet that was!

@jefferson126 That sounds like it would be challenging, but interesting. Is that the field you had intended to get into?

I had someone I truly admired, a good friend, tell me once I was the nicest person he had ever met. That meant a lot to me, but not as much as when I was talking to my 2 daughters one day, and they told me I was the best mom anyone could ever have. That one brought me to tears.

@MarieCoyle Two great comments. Of course, coming from your daughters, that touches your heart & means so much more.

@GypsyButterfly Yes, it does, as they are both young mothers and know what motherhood entails.

While I was working in a center for abused girls I used to crochet cute little stuff and showed them to our supervisor. She liked what I made. Then our Admin also saw my crochet finished project and she also liked it. She told me I was very creative and artistic. That was the best compliment I received not from a friend or from my family but from my boss. So because of that I was tasked to teach a group of interested girls to learn how to crochet.

@gamayngbaki Thank you for helping abused girls. I'm glad your supervisor appreciated your crocheting & that you were able to teach it to some of the girls. I admire those that can hand craft. It's not a talent I have. I have even less patience.

@janet357 I'm short, but I'm bigger. People think I look younger as well. To me, it's the mindset that matters. If we're positive, as much as possible, regardless of difficulties we've gone through, it does make a difference. Including with our appearance.

@Robinhuut Flattering you just to get what he wanted. I'm sure you are a good person. I hope people say nice things to you without expecting any thing in return.
