I do not know if I am being silly with this query. My younger brother and I were talking about giving names to his plants. He was just laughing. I kept on persuading him and left me hanging to sleep. I will insist on the idea tomorrow. I gave the rationale that these plants will grow beautifully. especially calling their names or talking to them.
Am I being weird with this matter?

I've been informed that plants grow bigger and stronger, when loving words are lavished on them. Giving them names? I'm not sure if this works or not.

That happens if you talk closely to the plants and your breath can give it some humidity. Someone told me that many years ago.

@Shavkat And I believe this is true, plants do respond to kind words and so do people.

@Shavkat I am that way with my animals too. At this time in my life I only have the greatest little bird that has such a fun personality. She was my grandsons and he moved around to much so I asked him if I could have him. Funny how things work out as now my grandson lives with us also so he still sees the bird all the time.

@gamayngbaki I am starting to understand him why. He does not want to be attached to them.

@Shavkat I can understand why your brother does not want to give them names because he does not want to get attached to them because he is just going to sell them!

I've heard that talking to your plants make them happy and they grow better (don't know if that's really true) but I've never named my plants. I'm curious to know what names you come up with for your brothers plants

I guess whatever floats your boat. I have never named a plant. But I see no harm in it either. There is actually truth to talking to plants making them healthy. They process the carbon monoxide of course, and that's what we expel when we talk to them, essentially helping to feed them and keep them healthy.
