What I Appreciate About myLot

I joined two years ago. Wasn't around much. You know how it is. Other things happen in life. Though, that's why I'm back this time & hope to stay a while. As I posted, last month I was diagnosed with ovarian & possibly lung cancer. They're still investigating. This seemed like the right time to focus on my writing.
With myLot, I can keep to my style. Which is observational/conversational. Sometimes includes informative or creative. I get acknowledged & earn a little as well. Unless I've missed it, I haven't found any place like myLot. Some sites look for articles. Which need to be third person. No POV allowed. Others want stories. I can & have done fiction. But, the way I write here, it's true to me & is what inspires me.
I've tried having my own blog. Because with that, I can write this way. Coming up with content is easy for me. It's the advertising & especially monetizing I have trouble with. I can bring in some traffic, but they don't tend to do what I need them to for me to bring in an income. With myLot I don't need to be concerned about that. I just let the words flow & the rest happens naturally. What do you appreciate about myLot?

@marlina I lack determination in a lot of things. Sometimes inspiration as well. I've always been like that. I don't know if I can make a complete change, but even a small one would be good for me.

@marlina I look forward to being here as often as possible. I have a never ending list of topics. I'm inquisitive by nature & love to learn.

All good reasons to appreciate it here. I just like the simplistic nature of it. We get to talk about anything and everything and nothing, and all of it works. We get to have great conversations, have a little back and forth, and earn a little to boot.
It is just a great site and I am happy it is around.

@porwest I enjoy interacting & learning about others. When I've tried to my hand at my own blog, I'd ask questions on there, as I do here, but no one would engage.

@GypsyButterfly Blogs were like that for me too. There is absolutely no engagement, and while the blogs are fun to write, it is the interaction I enjoy most.

I share your opinion about mylot. Glad you are back.
I do hope that the medical tests produce good results. Cancer is a difficult condition. Do your best to get well.

Yes mylot is a place where you can write anything which comes in your mind or heart you need not to worry if that will earn or not.
I am not on any site or blog as I don't like earning from these sites as one needs to write some good content to earn.
I like mylot because you can write anything which comes to your mind which also will earn a bit for you.

@sjvg1976 On sites like this there will be all sorts of content. So, something for most, if not all, tastes. Part of the key in earning is consistency. If a person only posts a few times a month, no matter how great it is, they'd have to have a lot of people interacting on it for it to create any significant earnings.
