Can You Guess What I Found in the Yard

I am sure one or two of you will guess correctly about what I found in the yard yesterday. Guess what you think is in the photo. I will write later with the details and more photos. Very exciting find. The rain just started. Will go back out later and hopefully get more photos to share. In the meantime I wonder how many will get this one correct. This is a first for me.

@CarolDM She was always so careless with her accessories when in the company of South American poets. Always throwing them nonchalantly over her shoulder in that devil may care way that so embarrassed her sisters.

Is it a hole full of baby bunnies? I found some when I was a kid. Momma rabbit moved them after that.

It strikes me as a bunny nest. Our son had such a nest of babies a year ago. He and his wife would set up their phone on the windowsill to take a video every evening as they ate supper. After supper, they would watch the video together. The mother bunny realized when the kids were looking out the window and would not go to the nest, so the littles were not fed, so they kids relied on the phone.

@Juliaacv Oh my goodness, look at them all piled in there. I just posted another post of the rabbit actually giving birth. I took a peek yesterday and the nest is full, cannot tell how many is in there. I was in and out quick. Thanks for the photo. Made me smile.

It certainly looks like some sort of nest - a squirrel? But it looks as though it's on the ground, has it fallen from somewhere or was it always there
