Well, Here’s the Dress

This silver brocade dress is what the Ice Princess chose to wear for her Bat Mitzvah last Saturday. It had rhinestones around the waist and matching glittery low heeled silver sandals.
I’ve received over 400 photos and videos. Taking ages to go through.
Our son is in upstate New York for the weekend (Buffalo) with our grandson for more hockey tournaments. He called with sad news. Our friend passed away about 5 weeks ago. Her husband, who we loved and hubs saw in the supermarket about two weeks ago, had a heart attack and burst a vessel while waiting for surgery. He passed away this morning. It’s crazy, but we knew he was in the hospital and hubs wanted to visit him today. The nurse wouldn’t give out any information.
That’s been my day.

She looks beautiful, a nice choice for her very special occasion. That's terrible, your friend passed away

@kobesbuddy Hubs called the hospital to find out if he could have visitors. They told him to speak with the family.
Sandi is still getting treatment, but now has no feeling in her feet and is blind in one eye. Please keep praying for her and thank you!

@DianneN This was a shock to your husband, I'm sure. I wanted to ask, how is your friend Sandi doing? I still pray for her each day.

So sorry about you friend. Many hospitals are not allowing visitors yet. I know most here only allow one person. Not one person at a time just one person who can go. So he probably could not visit anyways.

That's tragic how people suddenly pass like that. While waiting too that makes it even worse.

@DianneN No. I lost mine within a year-and-a-half of each other. Could've lost dad sooner, but I was still in high school and I think they wanted at least one parent there to protect me until I graduated and could get away from my toxic sisters.

@kaylachan I’m sorry for your losses. You were way too young to lose both parents. So your dad made it through your high school graduation? Sorry about your sisters. Every family has its problems.

I know when I had my Bar Mitzvah---back in the Ice Age--money in an envelope was considered THE best gift-- anything particular these days??

Money for us, too, back in the Ice Age. Our son told us that money was still in and she made out very well. However, being the diva that she is, received a lot of pricey jewelry from Tiffany’s and a custom made jewelry box among other things. My pearls are in a special place in the jewelry box. lol

Shiva is not fun. I only had to sit a few hours for my brother when he passed away the Friday right before Shavuot and 21 days instead of 30 for him. We still could move and that we did. Sitting Shiva and paying Shiva calls are very hard. You are welcome. Take care.
