I am safe at home. I went swimming when I got home from the bluegrass jam up in the foothills, and wound up as an adult supporting a 4-year-old's birthday party. When I checked my email, I found the following in my SPAM folder. But I like money, and am interested. --- Good day, Congratulations your money is currently now with our correspondent bank Bank of America NA, Charlotte, North Carolina to be credited to your account which will hit your Bank account in couple of hours. Am so happy for you as your suffering has come to an end all you need is to comply with them I know as a Wire transfer between Bank of America and your own bank will not cost much, once more congratulation. Am currently in USA to supervise the conclusion of your transfer. Best regards, Alex IBEH Director, Foreign Reserve Escrow Account Officer Central Bank of Nigeria --- The only thing that makes me suspicious is the fact that I have not been suffering over the past day or two. I was drinking wine and Scotch and playing music with my friends. Should I send them my bank information and see what happens?

He has genes that make him genetically prone to get high with just a few drops of anything...including water.

Heh. If it says "Scotch," I drink it. Glenlivet is my favorite.

@TheHorse the way good ole' Donald is trying to court votes to get back to the White House, that is likely to happen. Just tell him how you want to style the plates.

Oh, yes, please send them all your banking information! I'd love to hear all about your great luck after you receive whatever is coming to you! Edit to add: I started looking in my Spam folder to see if I'm getting this kind of crap, too. I haven't seen anything like this or the emails from the President... I believe you get them because you open crap like this so they keep targeting you.

@TheHorse The feature is called a "read receipt" and yes, anyone can enable it on emails they send to you. All you have to do is open the email and the sender is notified.

You think reading an email leads to continued emails? I'm not sure. Of course I don't clink on links.

He should start sending reverse spam. I am a broke, my girlfriends cheated me. I need monies. Open a new account and send its details to spammers. Invariably some guy there will feel sorry and send him a few dollars.

I don't know why but they don't include the most important part in these letters anymore. You have to make 25 copies of the letter and send them to all your friends or bad things happen.

Hmm, that's the kind of trick scammers do use to defraud innocent persons. They just want to get your bank details. From there on l, they'll get your personal banking information to defraud you. So be careful when sending your financial details.

"Will not cost much" is rather vague. Someone told me " I am not born today" to be deceived by such. That they are around for years means "fools rush in where angels fear to tread".
