Do you like the feeling of having PCR Test?

Germany
July 3, 2021 3:42am CST
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a sunny and warm weather. I had a good walk in the morning but did not have dance exercise because I feel like I needed some break from it Anyways, Yesterday one of the family friend of my husband called and invited us to their upcoming wedding day. She informed us that we must have a PCR Test result when we go there as part of the requirements. I never experienced it yet and base on my husband experience it hurts a little bit Now, I`m curious my dear mylotters. Do you like the feeling of having PCR Test? Can you describe your experience? Does it really hurts little? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

It doesn't hurt, but isn't a pleasant experience.

Do they insert it long time?

@DaddyEvil Gosh! That`s too long. I thought they will only make it in one nostril

@m_audrey6788 No, maybe 30 seconds. After it is inserted, they tell you to sniff... then they pull it out and do the same to the other nostril. (15 seconds for each nostril.)

Nope . I never had one, but my wife had two, the last one recently. According to her it is very unpleasant, it doesn't hurt, but it feels bad and awkward. Two weeks ago I had my second shot of Pfizer vaccine, so I don't really need a PCR test. I hope .

@m_audrey6788 ah, you're in between shots. By the way, how was your experience with the vaccine? Mine was ok, some local pain in my shoulder, but nothing else. Well, maybe a state of euphoria a few days later .

@Kasjnak I felt some pain on my shoulder near the injection area. It is like someone punched me so hard and it last for 2 days only. No side effects experience.

I never had one, not do I like to get it done unless and until it is made mandatory. I avoid to go to such places where they ask you for such test. I don't think it would hurt you, but may feel little uncomfortable when they poke you in the nose.so what are your plans? Get the test done and visit the wedding or simply stay away? I think you are in a situation

I really like to stay away from it as much as possible but this special event means a lot to a family friend of my husband. I have no choice but to have it and attend the wedding

@S4mmyboy Come here, Sam, I want to poke something up your nose. We can start off with a jelly bean candy and see if it fits.

I've had two PCR tests... the one the nurse did in the hospital here hurt a lot. The one I was allowed to do myself didn't hurt at all. I suspect the nurse hadn't done very many at all, so she didn't realize how much it can hurt having something shoved into your nasal cavity like that. When I jerked away from the Q-tip, she told me "Now that doesn't hurt!" so I told her to quit lying to people. She acted like I'd hurt her feelings.

@m_audrey6788 I'm sure all the nurses have given the test lots of times now so the one who gives you yours won't hurt you.

I have had it, just after we got back from the trip we had with the boss and for contact tracing for my boss who got positive result form covid.. I think that will depend on how gentle or aggresive the taker will be.. As for me, it doesn't hurt cause the nurse is gentle when doing it.. She also tells me, just look up and when the cotton was inside, she tells me that she's about to get some samples on the inner part of the nose.. Just stay calm.. But surely you'll sneeze after that

I hate it actually. It is just the feeling that there is some cotton swab inserted on your nose and they are inserted at the farthest part of your nose which is just too uncomfortable. And after that, they will do that again on your throat which can make you feel choked at times.

@m_audrey6788 That was my initial thought too. But when I got it and they both swabbed me from the nose and throat I really didn't like the nose since they really pushed it further that I got teary-eyed. The throat swab did feel uncomfortable as well and I almost gag from it but it was much faster than the nose.

Oh my gosh The nose I think I can manage but the throat. I wish it will not be like that. My husband told me that they will only do the nose.
