It's been a long day...

Pretty and I got up at 5 am today. I chopped onions and green peppers while she sliced chicken breasts and stuffed the veggies into them and then wrapped bacon around the chicken to hold the veggies inside. Then she put the chicken in the oven and we took our morning walk... When we got home, I planted the Mandevilla sprouts I've had in a glass in my kitchen window. Pretty pulled the chicken out of the oven. I read part of a book while she showered. I showered while she got our plates of chicken ready... I've played on myLot for a while and am getting tired. I think I'll take a nap.

Interesting...how you cook chicken. We use loads of masalas.

@sjvg1976 Here, I prepare for dad. I wash the chicken. Then add salt, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, a little bit sour curds, chicken masala, and a little bit of oil. Let it rest for over an hour. Then cook it.

@vandana7 we Indians use spices. We don't like chilli powder and garam masala at all.

Um…..where’s our servings????? Please, do take a nap. If we’re going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and other Spanish-influenced things in this country, then we should start by incorporating the siesta!

We made eight. The other six are in a container in the fridge. First come, first served. I've always taken a nap after I eat my lunch. At Walmart, people always ask me how I can nap in the loud breakroom. I tell them as long as nobody says my name where I can hear them, I won't hear anything else.

@DaddyEvil — that’s the good thing about being a southerner. We’re used to eating with our hands, so we don’t make noise looking for silverware.

DE.. do you start your with cooking? That looks tasty. I don't eat non-veg much but I know making it at home makes it more tasty.

@sjvg1976 Pretty thinks I had a minor heart attack a few days ago. I'm still having a bit of pain occasionally. I just got back from the doctor's office. She believes I had a minor heart attack, too, but thinks I'm doing okay...She said I'd be tired while my body works to repair the little damage my heart took.

Normally, we make our food for the next day at night before we go to bed. I was too tired last night.

We often work on meals together and always go on our morning walks together. She does wear her headphones while we walk but keeps one ear uncovered so she can hear me and respond if I make comments about something I see while we're out.

Thanks. It was good. Yes, I did and feel much better now. If they grow big enough, I'll send them up the other post on the front porch. Last year they never tried to climb. They stayed as a small-ish bush but had lots of flowers on them. I took a picture of the gourds today. They've started climbing the bamboo rods I put in their pot to reach the post on the porch. I tried to upload it but Outlook is having a spas attack of some kind. It just keep acting like it's loading but doesn't and my phone won't allow me to open myLot. I'll tell her.

@DaddyEvil I see. I haven't been cooking as much here either unless in convection oven which doesn't heat up the kitchen. I wish I had an outdoor kitchen with a big pit and pizza oven! I hope you get to feeling better.

@kareng Thanks... An outdoor oven would be nice. When I was a kid my parents owed a farm way out in the boonies. Behind the house we had a huge wood burning cast iron stove. Mom used it in clement weather.

We had to get up early so we could cook before the day started to get hot outside. If we cook at night while it's cool, the air conditioner doesn't work as hard and our electric bill doesn't go us as much. Thank you. I haven't been feeling my best this last week. We're keeping track of the problem but know the doctor will just tell me to go to the hospital and I don't do hospitals. So I'm taking it as easy as I can while still taking care of things I have to take care of.
