I do not do very much on Halloween night. Since I live out in the county; I have only gotten 2 kids in Halloween costume come to my door since 1987. I do not even know anybody who throws an Halloween party every year. Most of the time; I just watch television during this night.

Yes, sadly no trick or treaters here either..but if I was a kid, I wouldn't want to walk all the way up this long driveway. I usually watch scary movies on Halloween. I haven't ruled out doing something...but I don't like to drive around here in the dark.

@Scrapper88 There are not many kids in this development, maybe a half dozen.

Where I live; the houses are pretty far apart. Kids like to go to houses that are closely together.

It sounds peaceful Keith, though I am sure you want to get more Halloween trick or treaters out there.
I do not usually do much either.

@Scrapper88 Oh yes that is a good idea Keith. Tell us what you may find. That would be a good story here.

@RebeccasFarm I have written about the ghost lights on MyLot a couple of years ago. I might update the discussion in the near future though.

While people are doing their own thing on Halloween night; I might go out to the nearby road and look for the ghost lights.

I live in a rural area. The closest town to me is 6 miles away.

You get two more than we get! We are also out in the country. The nearest small town hosts a trunck or treat where eveyone gathers (it is at park this time) and lets the kids go from car to car trick or treating. It's the best way to do it out here and the kids don't miss out on the fun.

Kids going from car to car is pretty popular. They do it around where I live.

We don't have this Halloween party at my place. Looks very interesting to organize it, I guess.

It will be a quiet Halloween night in my neighborhood since a lot of my neighbors have left the area after the hurricanes Laura and Delta came last year.

Our area used to have a lot of Trunk or Treat type of events for the kids. That has definitely slowed down in recent years, which is a shame. I honestly haven't found one local event for Halloween this year. We will likely do what we did last year, stay home and pop popcorn and buy some candy that we enjoy, and watch "Hocus Pocus" or "Halloweentown" movies together.
