One thing I have realised is I am definitely in tune with people who like animals and birds. I love them and there are so many people here who even if they don't own one will take care of a stray, feed them and make sure they are looked after.
I have always rescued my animals because I like to feel I have given one a second chance in life. Some of the dogs and cats I have rescued have had a horrible start with cruel owners and have to learn to trust humans again.
People who hurt or abandon animals have dark souls. I will never understand their cruelty or how they are able to inflict such pain on a defenceless creature. The dog in the picture is my own who I rescued 6 years ago after she was found in a terrible state with 14 other dogs. 12 had to be put to sleep. She is the black and white dog.

@sprite1950 Oh i'm feeling so sorry for the brown spaniel. But since he was suffering this was the best thing to do

@Nawsheen His name was Mully and he adored my dog. He couldn't leave her alone, She has another dog now but he is quite badly behaved.

How absolutely gorgeous. The dogs in the picture are not all mine, just the black and white one. The lady is not me either, she's a professional dog walker. The little brown spaniel had to be put to sleep the next day and we were all out saying goodbye. I know he looks well in the picture but he had a serious condition which would have caused him pain later on.

Yes. I kind of hate zoos where animals are caged and chained but love the wild life parks where they are safe and kept in a natural type habitat.

@moffittjc I used to take the kids to the zoo when they were little and didn't think much of it. It's only as I have got older that I can see how unpleasant it must be for them.

Not a dog person, but I love cats. Yeah I don't understand either. I read about a woman who had mental issues and she put a kitten in the washing machine because it pooped outside the litter box.

I have a cat too. She is stretched out in front of me now in front of the heater. Poor kitten, what a terrible thing to do.

I love animals and I can't stand people who abandon and are cruel to them. I have also rescued and feed many dogs and cats, they have such a pure heart. I am happy to see that my kids are exactly like me.

Thank you. She is the easiest dog I have ever owned, good with other dogs and people. She's quite old now so tends to sleep a lot .. like me!

@nela13 She can still be a bit nervous around strangers but she's much better than when I first had her. She was scared of her own shadow.

I love animals but I am not very fond of some like cats. But still I will never hurt them. I always had dogs and other pets.
It's cruel to hurt some creatures.

Yes I've seen some horrible things on facebook where people just leave dogs on highways. They do not understand and run after the car. Why would anyone do that when they could give it to a shelter.

@sprite1950 I can't justify and give explanations for such acts of crime. It's sad and unfortunate that many enjoy troubling animals. They find pleasure in that. People are sick

It is nice to care animals.
we have 4 dogs and 3 cats
but feeding them really cost money.
