Hello friends, hope everyone is doing fine. So when I am away from mylot many things has happened to me. I am here to share one of them. I got covid positive in April, not only me my whole family members got covid in the same time. My mother first got covid positive. When we took her for a CT scan the reports were good and we were happy that her lungs is not much affected and doctor said nothing to worry. So my dad normally interacted with her and then my dad got positive .Sadly the reports were wrong that tested for mother . Reports made us confused .Then it's my turn and then to my brother .lastly it came to my granny she was at her 88 .In that age it's difficult to come out but I'm glad she didn't had any problems other than slight cough .
So we all experienced body aches and fever . My father lungs were affected about 40 percent . So I have suggested him to join to hospital.we are at home and doctor had frequent visit to home to check our situation. We took around 20 tablets per day and had an injection to control the blood from being clot .it's terrible situation and we only know how we faced it .There is only my mother's brother for helping us to get all necessary things and few of neighbours bring us food .
We never been out and no neighbours visited us but firstly how my mother got covid is the question. My mother's brother had gone out for an urgent meeting in other place and when he was back he had slight cough .so he might be the reason for these things .we all got negative after quarantine and treatment.its all with God's grace we are alive today.
Yesterday one of my friend said got positive and worried that she might not be alive tomorrow .I scolded her and said her positive words .when we first to react quickly and take perfect medication.Covid can do nothing .
I have seen few discussions here about being covid positive and yeah my covid story would make anyone here to stay strong and face the situation with positivity .God is with us .
Thanks for reading .Stay blessed all :)

You are right to say positive words to your friend. It's not because we are found positive that we must die. Some have a very mild form of the virus.
I think that your mother got the virus from her brother. I am glad you are all negative now.
Take care.

It's good that your family came through the virus. It is good, also, that COVID rates are leveling off in your country. Hopefully, you and your family have had your vaccinations, which will help prevent reinfection.

@Icydoll We're both vaccinated, and the husband has had his booster. We also still mask, try to distance, and just generally try to limit our interactions with others.

I was tested positive in September. At that point of time, many of my colleagues also tested positive. It's very difficult to maintain social distancing or other sanitary measures when you are at work. We share the same toilets/kitchen/office and these do not get disinfected throughout the day.
Fortunately, I only had a cough and headache and no other symptoms beside those.

Good that you shared it. I too got infected by the virus as I attended one of the physical meetings. Two of my colleagues were positive later and so we all underwent test I was positive but asymptomatic for few days. And I passed it to my elder daughter. We both got better in home isolation. We didn't need medications. We could come out of it with home remedies and rest. But the post covid phase has not been easy. My diabetes got bad and I still feel that my body is not same as it was before.

@arunima25 even my brother feeling weak after his second dose ,I think those who took Covishield were being weak when compared to other vaccine .
I hope these symptoms will be reduced completely to us .

@Icydoll I had no symptoms other than severe headache. I didn't even need to take paracetamol. But post covid weakness and hair loss was bad
I am fully vaccinated. First shot was okay but I got some over reaction to second shot. It's been almost 40 days and I still get mild symptoms sometimes. Tired and sleepy. Got all tests done but nothing wrong. My doctor has few cases of overreaction to second shot and it took few months.

I'm so sorry you and your family got covid. I also got it in September but thankfully very mildly as I am vaccinated. Even though I am 71 it was just like a mild cold and body aches and within a week I was well again. I caught it from my granddaughter who got it from school. She felt worse than me although it was over with quickly for her. Neither of us had to take more than over the counter tablets.
My granddaughter is 15 and when she saw how mildly I got it she also wanted the vaccination which she has now had. Now we have the Omicron variant to deal with.

Hello Icy I'm glad you are able to write this update and are alive. I am not sure if I ever got the virus but early this year I was quarantined as my housemate had it. Lucky enough we were asymptomatic. Now I've had 2 doses of vaccine and a booster. Hoping this virus goes away soon.

I'm so glad you and your family are still alive and mostly healthy. (I'm sorry your dad is still having some problems from it.) It's hard to know what to do when a family member tests positive for Covid. You all did the right things.)

I think I had Covid back in November of 2020. I did not go to the doctor or get tested but had a high fever for two weeks, felt horrible, and everything tasted like sewage or garbage. It was just awful. I did call the doctor but he was so busy that he said to call back if I had trouble breathing. Thankfully, I didn't.

I can understand hoe tough it would have been for you.
April to June this year was very tough.
One of my wife's uncle had to be administered oxygen through a cylinder.
He had a lot of infection and the worse affected in his family of 4, although everyone had Covid.
For almost a month and a half we got everything online even though it was challenging.
When I went for my second vaccine dose in Late August, I was the only one there wearing a shield over mask.
Yes, we are still following a lot of precautions including sanitizing things as far as possible and not going out much.
What saddens me is that even after a terrible second Covid wave, people are again becoming casual.
The dangers are still there.
Have a nice day ahead.

Yes I am longing for the days when we can move around without the stress if Covid.
Yet looks like a long way before that.

There's been a lot of married people that I know who tested positive after being vaccinated and all pulled through.
The concern is more for those not vaccinated. Glad your family all pulled through.
