The Tip of the Iceberg

Briefly, we had massive and mighty tall trees removed in October and November. Then I went berserk decorating with outdoor solar lights, a white wrought iron bench, wind spinners, and 3 outdoor “crystal” chandeliers, one of which is in my photo. Had acres of leaves blown, a long row of rhododendrons cut down, and many shrubs removed or cut back.
Had our kitchen trim and walls painted. Also had most of our library/old family room painted. The wall of built ins will be done in January. Dread emptying the shelves and cabinets.
Electrician met 3 times. He with do some outdoor and indoor work beginning Monday.
Went shopping for pendant lighting for over our kitchen island. Waiting for the order to arrive and to pick up smart lightbulbs.
Met with several contractors multiple times and finalizing plans for a huge Trex deck leading from our new deck. A stone patio will be added with a fire pit. Hopefully, will be built in early April. So excited to look for outdoor furniture.
Also in the process of designing a raised bed garden with fencing. That better be ready for gardening season!
Will have to refurnish our library/old family room. No time to look for sofas , fabrics, area rug, wall paint, etc.
Our younger son is having a new powder room put in. Hubs is helping him and the contractors. lol
Our older son is the only smart one. He’s in Barbados with the family taking life easy.
He had his birthday December 6th and tomorrow hubs is having his birthday.
Those are just a few of the things keeping me from having time to myLot. Just the tip of a huge iceberg.
Hey, I tried my best to keep this brief!

@noni1959 That sounds so pretty.
We had a load of trees removed from the woods in front of our house. I need to do something with that area. I want more lawn, but hubs and my son told me stumps need to be removed and a ton of fill has to be brought in, so no go. I will plant more shrubs and decorate with sculptures, birdbaths, flagstones, etc. I’m having so much fun sparkling up the outdoors. lol

@DianneN Keep after them. But if not I grew mine in large pots against the fence this year and they did great.

Home owners, go through a lot. Keeping home up to date, safe and comfy is having work. You're right, when it's all done, it'll be very worth it.

I can imagine how wild and mad you must be getting with so much work!
I feel like a lazy sloth who does things at a much lower pace!
However, we could have some repairs coming up for Bathroom seepage in the coming months.
That would be very disturbing as I am also working out of home.

Once our inside work would start, even we would be mad.
But what worries me more would be uts probable impact on ny work.

It all began with one tree that fell into other trees after a tropical storm that my cleaning lady noticed
Everything snowballed from there.
Thanks! It twinkles in the sunshine and lights up at night. I bought one for my son, too. His girlfriend loves twinkles
