Good Reads 2022 Reading Challenge

Good Reads has a yearly reading challenge where you set a book goal and you see if you can reach it.
I've put up a goal every year and the way I do it is that the number of books I read the previous year is my current goal.
Sometimes I hit it and sometimes I surpass it. Then there are the few times that I don't make it at all.
Last year was one of those times.
I set a goal of 170 I think maybe 179 because that's what I read in 2020 apparently.
Sadly I only got to 73 this year. There was a lot going on though so I should be thankful I got to read that much.
With this year a bit calmer, I'm hoping to actually surpass this goal.
So officially the goal this year is 73.

@RubyHawk It's a pretty good site. It helps you keep track of your books even if you don't make a goal

I try to match what I read the year before. It usually works for me. I joined the volunteer fire department with my husband last year so I was extremely busy with that. This year should be better.

@Jordanlader I’ve finished one so far this year and I’ll probably get to read about 50, though I’ll not push it. Better to read and savour the writing than just read to reach a goal.

I don't rush to meet the goal. I just like having it there. I've read one and a half so far. Mostly because I'm not in my routine yet and I'm working a little over with housework like my husband is at work lol.

No goals as such. But I make sure that I read whenever I can. 73 is an incredible number. I hardly manage to finish 3_4 good books in a year and that too when I make up my mind to read

Thanks. I love reading and can usually read between one and three books a week. Things were just nuts last year and not organized for me at all lol.
