"Put your hands where we can see them!" Holy sh*t! Did I just almost get shot?

I called 911 just now. It was the same old crap. Some dude was calling some woman in an apartment near me a "b*tch" and a "n*gger."
This has happened before.
But as I was calling, two separate Sheriff vehicles arrived. Apparently someone else had already called.
I moved to my balcony. One of the officers asked me to place my hands where he could see them. I did so.
I do NOT want to get shot, especially in the spine. A gun shot wound to the spine could do away with my ability to play sports or play guitar, two of my favorite things.
Sigh.
Do you have to deal with these inconveniences where you live?

No, I don't have to deal with them. Sorry about your experience. I bet you finally cleared your name so you can stop raising your hands
Sorry, I mean your hooves

No it is peaceful here. No neighbors close enough to hear if they do argue

Holy crap! That was scary! We don't have that problem here. We live in a semi-rural area; and the houses are quite far from each other.

@LindaOHio I wonder if she and hers were involved in the theft of my $4,000. She is "different" from most of the residents here.

@TheHorse I don't blame you. We are fortunate to have normal neighbors.

No. We don't have a balcony. I've had to call before and either do anonymously or I tell the police not to come to my apartment. We live in housing and I could get us killed. Some of these people aren't right in the head.

@TheHorse .......I'm sure there is a lot of that all over. Police have to contend with all kinds.

I haven't had such an experience where I live, but I have a cop living in the house behind me and a state patrol officer living up the street. I'm also pretty well acquainted with the #2 at the Sheriff's department and the SWAT Team commander.
We did have a domestic disturbance a few days ago. It ended with no one getting hurt. Just an ugly breakup between a woman and her baby daddy. We don't see much of that kind of thing here in our neighborhood.
Glad you didn't get shot. I've been shot at but never shot. Getting shot at was bad enough.

I've never had to yet and hope it doesn't ever happen. I was held at gunpoint once when the motel I worked at was being robbed. It was fun. As the robbers were leaving, one of them smacked my head into a metal doorjamb. I enjoyed the headache for several days afterward.
I'm glad you're okay.

@TheHorse The police said they recognized the description of the vehicle and the men I described and that they were going East on the interstate but we never heard anything more about them, so I guess not. (It was one of a string of robberies occurring along the interstate and the two guys were wanted for questioning.)
Somewhere in one of my photo albums is the newspaper article about the robbery and the bill from the ER for the head wound. (My boss gave me a copy of the bill as a "souvenir" of being held at gunpoint.)

Not usually. The cops arrive after we've been broken into. Thankfully we weren't home either time.

Thank goodness in my neighborhood there is hardly any criminal activity that requires the police to come and do their duty to stop a crime.

@TheHorse I have no idea except she seems to be a religious person since sometimes I can hear her praying from her kitchen while I am in the bathroom brushing my teeth.

No, I don't thank goodness. I live in the woods up in the mountains. Lots of wildlife, no police car visits thankfully. I am glad you are okay.

@TheHorse Yes, that's right, it's quiet and peaceful here, the police only carry out patrols to check the safety of residents, we are good friends with the police here ^^
