Question: "Who in your family are you particularly close to?"

I do not want to be biased over my biological parents, but I am closer to my mom than her husband, a father of mine. I am sure most of us are closer to mommies because of their motherly love. Now, if you are not that close to your matriarch or patriarch, then who is close to your life then?

I raised Pretty by myself from the age of two. I was closer to my mom than my dad. I still talk with my two sisters and one brother.

@Shavkat Yes, she probably is my best friend.
I have only seen my sister since the pandemic began and she came to our house last week and sat outside and visited with us. It was nice.

@DaddyEvil I am glad that you catch up with her. My younger sister is living in another city and it is too far to go there. She told me that she is coming over on Holy Week.

Mom and Dad have been gone for years but I was closer to my mother when they were alive.
Now it's an older brother. I have three brothers and two sisters but I talk to my brother once every few weeks. The others are just a couple of times a year. I don't talk at all to one brother. He is a dipstick.

@Vikingswest1 I humbly say that my siblings and I are close together. It is how our parents wanted us to be as a tight-knit family.

I had the same hopes but we drifted apart over the last ten years. I hope you and your siblings always stay close.

Outside of my husband which know technically biological we are not linked unlikes we had kids so in all reality I have all three of my kids DNA still inside of me so there for I have part of there dad to there is biological link.
Other then that I’m close not my mom. Growing up I was always a daddy girl we do lots of things together. As an adult and a mom myself I’m closer to my mom we get the whole mom thing.

@ShyBear88 I agree they are the ones who usually give genuine love and nurture us to be a better person.

I'm very close to my mother. I don't feel close to my father. With my siblings I'm close to my eldest sister

As far as parents go? They are both highly flawed. As a kid I was closer to my dad than my mom. Then I learned how horribly toxic and narcissistic he was. I'm now closer to my mom than him and only talk to him a couple times a year.
Who I'm closest to in my family though? My younger sister. We're not quite two years apart and always have been really close. People say it freaks them out when we're together because our mannerisms are very similar and we have a tendency to say the same thing at the same time.
I do have two other siblings, one older sister and a younger brother, but I'm definitely tightest with my little sister.

I was closer to my mom, but now both my parents are gone. So, my husband is my best friend.
