Our Foster Son is a Lawyer

Rajiv, our foster son, came to see us last evening. He is a lawyer and he is going to open a chamber not far from our place. He has bought a new scooter ( Yamaha Facino) to help him reach his court and the police stations around. Coming from a poor family and abandoned by his father he has struggled hard to come to this level. I taught and coached him during his school days. Thus, he's also made me proud. We can present him as a role model to other boys in the Children's Home. Image : taken from Google

@franxav Are you a teacher or an influencer?

@akalinus it's difficult to describe what I am. I am a teacher not in the conventional sense of the word. I am a social worker but even this word doesn't suit me. I do influence lives but I am not an influencer. Professionally, I am called a foster parent .

He surely is a role model but I find it difficult to inspire other boys and girls to work hard like him.

A good role model surely. I hope somebody would emulate him. We will get a doctor in two years, a child who grew up in our foster home.

First of all, I want to compliment you on raising a foster child. Not everyone will make that commitment. Secondly, you obviously did a great job, because he has done so well in life. You have every reason to be proud of him and what he has done with his life.

That's good. It must be a proud feeling for you always when you see him. I also wish I could also adopt a child but that's tough for you. Hats off to you for adopting such kids and making them stand on their feet.
