Yes, I’m still in my nightgown and robe waiting to take a shower for errands and my doctor appointment at 1:40. Why bother getting dressed in clean clothes?
However, our painter just arrived to finish up the built in in our old family room.
I thought he was coming tomorrow
Oh, well. I apologized for my apparel. He didn’t say a word
Waiting for hubs to get home, so I can get ready in peace.
Have you ever been caught in your bedclothes? So embarrassing.

Not very often but when I do get caught in them it is normally when I am just getting up and we are not expecting company or after a shower when I normally just shower and put pajamas back on especially when we are not going anywhere. I hope your appointment goes well

@DianneN Glad it went well other than the eye twitching. Normally it don’t bother me if I am caught in my pajamas as long as it is after my shower and my hair is oone
I don’t like people seeing me
With bed head

Yes, but…..
I sleep in shorts and a t-shirt, so most people couldn’t tell they were bedclothes.

@DianneN — I’m not married, and my only bed companion in the last 30 years (my dog) never complained.
True story: started that when I was 14. We were living in Daytona Beach, and one night I woke up to noise outside. I looked up and saw right lights flashing. Peeked out of my door and saw my parents sitting on the porch, watching the bug extermination office across the street (a narrow one-way street) from us burn. Since that night I’ve been dressed to go.

That's a lovely built-in. I can't remember a time when I was caught in my jammies!

Thanks. It was pine along with the chair rails all over the room. Now it looks clean and brighter in here. More painting to go once we get new furniture and fabrics and an area rug, and everything else. See what we started???
I've been caught 4 times that I can remember.

@LindaOHio Exactly! We had the kitchen painted, but now decided to have the entire downstairs done and that means upstairs, too. It never ends with a house.

Thanks. It was an ugly, old pine which made the room seem so dark. We had the rest of the room painted, too. You probably saw it in many photos of Doodles.
Lol! I've had to sneak upstairs, lie and say I had the flu, or just grin and bear it. It could have been worse

a few times. even more since I've gotten down so much with my breathing and arthritis.
Hardly ever back when I worked early as a caregiver.

Years and years ago, shortly after I got out of the Army, one of the jobs I had was as an exterminator. I would sometimes arrive at a customer's house for an appointment and they'd still be in their robe.
The most embarrassing time was when a husband let me in and told me they were seeing spiders in the master bathroom. He didn't realize his wife had just finished her shower and was toweling off when he showed me where it was. I stopped in the doorway for a heartbeat, realized she hadn't seen me, and backed slowly out into the bedroom before returning to the living room and explaining to the husband.
He laughed, said he thought she'd already gone out. He made coffee and we sat and talked until she did leave, hopefully, none the wiser.

I've had to answer the door in my sweats but I normally grab a sweater first. So many people go out in public wearing sweats that it probably didn't make the person wonder.
