Hot & Spicy Tortilla Chips

Have you ever tried these? They are flaming HOT!! I bought a bag the other day but not because I like or love the hot and spicy. I used to get Zapp's Jalapeno Potato Chips because they helped open up my sinuses and then I could breath better. To me this is the better option than taking medicine. So, I saw these in the store (no Zapps products there) and put a bag in my buggy. I actually opened them on the way home from the store and munched on them. They did their job of opening up my airways and also had my eyes tearing too! Tonight I offered one to my hubby. He does not like hot and spicy foods. He took one look at it and said one will be all I need. These things are solid red they are coated with the seasoning so much. Hubby survived. I ate a few and then put the bag up as I had tears rolling down my face. Have you tried this flavor of chips or Cheetos? I see they have them in Cheetos now too. And, do you like them? I like normal nachos but not these chips loaded with pepper to where your eyes water from having one in your mouth.

I wouldn't even touch these but that's interesting that they open up your sinuses. Who'd a thought?

@JudyEv That is the only reason I buy them and that is not very often at all. I would say 1-3 times a year.

Yeah, I think I'll go back to jalapeno tater chips. They are much milder..haha!! My husband always commented when he sees me with them and says, "How do you eat those things?" I tell him I only need one or two and then I can breathe again.

@kareng If that's the case, then they're probably worth having.

These were too hot. I have bought the Zapps Jalapeno chips before and they work very good for unstopping your nose!

I used to could tolerate things like this but I have acid reflux now and try to keep things like this out of my mouth. I do make the exception for clearing nasal passages sometimes though.

I don't like that hot stuff much..Although some that are mild are good. I had some Herr's Jalapeno Cheese curls that were good. I also like the red hot chips that a few brands make, but in general, I don't go for that stuff.
