Lately, i cant sleep well, since covid19 era i can't managed to go to bed early. Usually, i went to bed at 9 PM and woke up at 4.30 AM everyday.
After covid 19, i went to bed at 11 or 11.30 and always woke up at 4.30 in the morning. Maybe its the perks of being morning person, no matters how late you go to the bed, you always managed to woke up early. How about you guys? Are you morning person or not?

I used to be a night owl, but after backpacking, hostels would have free breakfast from 6-9, and so many would wake up for this, and after a while, I got used to this.
A big benefit is never having to use an alarm clock since I am usually awake by 7am.. I do have to wake up in around the middle of my sleep to pee, and sometimes I can't go back to sleep, and just start my day..

@MrDenata Something I forgot to mention was the social interaction. It was a time when almost everyone was in one big room, since people would start making plans after breakfast (some left, some stayed in the hostel), but it was a way to start a simple conversation which could develop as you saw this person (or people) more often at breakfast, especially if you stayed at this place for a while.

I spent 30 years working, the last 15 were early morning shifts.
I had a routine that saw me in bed early and I could wake at 6am without an alarm.
Then I stopped working. I still woke at 6am for a couple of years no matter what time I went to bed.
Not anymore. I'm usually up by 8am but that early morning stuff faded away. I kind of miss it.

I don't sleep well either. Sometimes I am still up in the early morning hours and enjoy watching the sky change into a lovely sunrise.

I'm not an early riser. If it's a rest day, I sleep late and get up late in the morning. I usually get up at noon.
If it is a working day, I will go to bed at about 11 pm and get up at 7 am

@MrDenata Ha ha, getting up early is forced, because to work and make money, we need to solve all the expenses in life

I was a morning person for the longest time but I've learned to adjust already. I can wake up early or stay up late.

I guess that's a good thing to be a morning person. I switched out from being a night person to a morning person and sometimes when I have insomnia nights, I just watch a couple of online movies.
