News: China is in Outbreak

I am not making fake news about this matter. I got this information from my Chinese students online. It has been more than weeks that they are kept on saying that their cities or provinces are being locked down. So they are reliable sources. It is beyond my imagination to have a new normal life, but they can not control the situation yet. The majority claimed that Guangdong province and Hong Kong are in a new surge of this killer virus. Chinese people are being asked to be tested. By the way, we have only one infected case and one recovered as of today. What is the condition at your place now? Image Credit: c8.alamy.com

We must have a firm belief that we can defeat the virus

I think being a strong believer is not enough to defeat this pandemic thing.

I remember our discussion couple months ago about real source. You were absolutely right. Wonder why this is happening again? Is someone putting it back in the air to cause mayhem. I just don't understand why when the world is recovering and some people have stopped wearing masks.

It cannot be denied that it all started in Wuhan, which is in the central part of China. I am not so sure, too. I hope this pandemic will end totally.

@askme123 I do not believe what they claimed that it originated from bats. I do not think it is.

@Shavkat I agree with you I also think the intial source is Wuhan. I wonder what cause it to start again. I heard the first time something had escape out of the lab when they were conducting experiments to find a vaccine for SARS1.That is why Covid 19 is also called SARS2.

In fact I think our rules are getting crazy and this is not right. I had Covid-19 test for four times within a week already. I don't think it is a good idea to always have the Covid-19 test as the virus can be spread easily in this way. I tend to think that Omicron is less deadly and there is no way we stop everything to stop it since it is not possible. It is fine that we do our precautions well and and the situation won't be so worse like today.

@Shavkat They are brainwashed and don't have a sense at all. Unfortunately these are our officers but we have never voted them.

I also heard about it and claimed by my Chinese students at present. Is it true that these kit tests are free?

@youless I heard about it. It seems not practical to do. It is like a move of being paranoid.

That's bad news. In our city we have zero covid patients for straight 5 days now.

I’m sorry China is being hit so hard by covid. It’s easing up here. Fewer covid cases are being reported. I was hoping covid was on it’s way out.

It is also the same thing here in my country. It is becoming lax to travel from one place to another. I am not sure why it is happening in China now. I mean what makes them have this current situation.

@Kandae11 It seems that they are out of control of the situation now. As far as I could remember that they were not allowed to go out from their residents now.

Looks like the virus just got back to where it all started. I really do not know the state of infection in our place since dept of health has not been issuing regular updates anymore. But things are looking very normal already no more checking pass when you got to malls or places.

@Shavkat Government realizes now that they need to open the economy to keep the government moving. That is why every time cases go down, they aim that everything should be back to normal again so money would circulate again.

@rsa101 That's what our mayor is thinking. I am sure after this event, we are going to be locked down.

I've been reading about the situation, not just in China but other countries as well. A couple of months ago I was talking to someone in the medical field. She is following very closely the goings on of Covid. She and some of her colleagues are quite concerned about the new variant. Our next door neighbor works in a hospital in our area and she told us that we just have to live with and deal with Covid. I don't think it's totally going away. Right now our area is not too bad but I'm just waiting for the next wave. It could happen soon.

I am glad that you are reading news about coronavirus over the world. Honestly, I do not read or watched the news lately. I hope that we will not be living with this coronavirus now and forever.

Things are easing up here . . . but we can't/aren't letting our guards down. New variants are talked about and it's quite obvious this virus still lingers all over the world, some places worse than others. I can't help but think we, as a world, are not done with this yet.

@Shavkat I also think the root cause of this continuing to spread is also coming from human behaviors .

It is really a chaotic situation dealing with this pandemic thing. We cannot control the situation but we can do something about it. Personally, the root cause is always coming from humans.

As there are fewer tests being conducted these days so it's hard to know the situation here in India but that's for sure it's going to spread soon here as it did in 2019 if we see the situation in China. It rarely takes time to spread.

Our news reported about the outbreak in China. It's like a roller coaster with the ups and downs of covid and all the variants. Things hete are easing but I'm sure it won't last long

Thanks for your kind concern. Some provinces do have more than before. I think the main reason is that the balance between economy and epidemic prevention is difficult to catch. Due to the reduction of lethality, I think China's dynamic-zero-clearing policy will be loosened.
