Would You Migrate To Another Planet?

Hi again beautiful people,
Hoping you guys are having a good time. For today's discussion, we'll be having a little bit of dystopian/futuristic fantasy kind of discussion. Here's the thing, so let's start.
Hypothetically, supposing one day there is an opportunity for humans to be able to migrate safely to another planet and make a living there, would you do it?
This can be any planet for that matter; like say, Mars or something. And to add on, there are already humans living there and they seem to live a pretty regular life.
Would you decide to leave planet Earth for a new life on another planet? If you do, why is that so and if you don't, give a reason too. Thank you, guys and see you in another discussion.

Just wanted to be sure that my way of living will not be affected when I transfer to another planet. I think migrating from one country to another is already a challenge I think that would be more when you transfer from one planet to another.

Ha ha. I really like your tongue-in-cheek answer. What if the transition's super smooth, would you even consider it?

@ihasaquestion For as long as travel is safe and the transition is all taken care of why not. But if it takes all the migration process and those I rather not and just stay put.

A "regular life" doesn't mean the same type of life we have here. I'd need to know the specifics. If we live inside space suits, no, I'd rather not. I don't like tight, enclosed spaces. I get antsy if I have to stay in a small enclosed room. If there's lots of space, I'm fine.

@ihasaquestion It depends... have scientists figured out a way to roll back the years when the new planet is ready for colonization? If not, then I'm already too old to be considered worthwhile on a new planet.

@DaddyEvil Well, as long as you're not on walking sticks, you're not certified old.
Colonization, huh. You think too much.

Hi DE, this is a good analysis for sure. I would feel constricted too if we have to live in space suits and in enclosed areas. But, if the other planet is exactly like the life we have here on Earth, you would consider huh?

I don't think so. I mean moving to another place always require some adjustment, I can't imagine adjusting to life on a different planet.

That's refreshing. If it's safe, we can definitely go visit.

Well, with all the weird things going on in the world today, I am tempted to say yes.
But you mentioned migration... that sounds a little permanent. And if that's the case, I would have to think long and hard before I decide for sure.
Now, if the technology is advanced to the point one can travel back and forth easily and at any time, then why not?

Yes, my take on it is like yours too. If we could travel back and forth; like the idea of visiting another country, that'll be more interesting.

Yes, nothing beats planet Earth. But aren't you curious about the possibility of life in other planets?

I think some very rich people have already booked their trip to Mars. Personally l do not like air travel of any form - meaning airplanes or helicopters, so you would never see me on any type of conveyance to Mars or any other planet.l prefer to have my feet planted firmly on the ground -- earth that is.

This is a very good answer, and I like your perspective. Oh wow, I didn't know that some of the rich people have made a booking to Mars already. That's certainly bizarre.
