What to write about - a suggestion

MyLotter Jim (@JimBo452020) was lamenting the fact that discussions seem to be thin on the ground lately. Certainly there doesn’t seem to be a lot of reading material here sometimes. I know some have said how they sometimes find it difficult to find something to write about.
I wondered if it might help if a theme or topic was suggested and members could all post their thoughts/memories/whatever on the that particular topic. Obviously not everyone would want to write about every topic but maybe it would help some.
As a start, my next post will be about my early schooldays. This won’t appeal to everyone but I know I’d be interested in the experiences of others. Some older members would have some interesting tales I’m sure. And everyone's experience is different, however old you are.
But don’t tell me about it in the comments. Write a post so it will be shared with other readers. Perhaps this will help give everyone more reading material here - and more to comment on. If they are painful memories, then of course pass on by.

I am so old that my school days were very different from the ones of the young people here. And I´m sure that the people with other ages and from other cultures have very different stories from mine.

May be at times we have a topic to talk about.
Yet we could have a lesser time, or certain lethargy to have that topic out.
Plus at times, I post a few topics which don't get much responses and that kind of makes us think before posting that type again.

Geopolitics can be a topic but I remember starting a political topic and a few folks had an almost virulent arguing back and forth.
So I avoided such discussions.

@LindaOHio , We had a ink bottle and we dip the pen in it.
It was messy and I always had 1 finger blue from the way I hold my pen. I hated it.

@JudyEv I remember using ink pens; but I don't remember how we filled them. Then came the cartridge ink pens. The cartridges would always run dry at the worst times; and the ink was always getting all over everything. What is a biros?

Wow! That sounds interesting. Yes, it is a good idea to have suggestions to write about. Hopefully we will have interesting posts to read and respond to. I just read Dianne post about her Kindergarten and she mentioned you. That brought me to this post. I have to see how many actually wrote about their school days.

@JudyEv I will definitely write about it. Though I might be a little delayed. I have a lot of pending chores and would like to clear up the notifications. But then I would try to write it before the weekend is over. I have come across Dianne's post so far. I have to check others.

People have put up some really interesting stuff. I haven't written for a few days. And probably won't over Easter. I hope you have an enjoyable Easter.
