There was a nasty accident this morning in Western Australia’s Kimberley region in the north. Some 250 kms north-east of Broome, Talbot Bay is the setting for a permanent floating base of houseboats at the base of the Horizontal Falls. The Falls are named for the extremely high tides that flow in and reverse out through the narrow gaps in the McLarty Range. Seaplanes and/or boats take tourists into the area.
A tourist boat carrying 26 tourists and two crew got into trouble at 7.15 am. A number of people were toppled into the water and at the moment it seems there are 20 injured. As there could be crocodiles and box-jelly fish in the waters there, it was imperative to get the people out.
There were two Royal Flying Doctor Service planes (RFDS) in the area and another four were flown in, together with six doctors and six nurses. The accident happened at 7.15 am and the first responders were there by 8.30 am. Given the remoteness of the area, this would be considered a quick response.

@DaddyEvil Somewhere on the web (Vince told me) they're saying no-one went in the water so I'm not sure what the truth is.

@JudyEv There are several different versions of the "truth" in different news outlets. I chose the article based on what the boat captain was telling happened.

@JudyEv Yes, I think it was in Virginia ( east coast area of the US).

It is a very lovely area but very remote. If something goes wrong, rescue can be quite difficult.

It is quite an experience I believe but not cheap. I will probably take it off my bucket list.

Everyone was rescued and most have been flown back to Perth. Thankfully there were no deaths.

It seems they will although a couple have quite severe injuries though not life-threatening.
