A break

How many of you find it hard to come back to the computer when you have been off of it for a while? I was off since Friday when I got off for our Sabbath and then yesterday was a Jewish holiday so no TV or computer. I forgot what I was watching so have to find it when turn the TV on. It is kind of weird to be off even for a short time and come back. It just turned out that our holiday came directly after our Sabbath so I was outside in the sun for a while in the morning. Is there anyone else that it was hard for them to come back on the computer after they took a break no matter how long the break was for?

I do not know what happened with what I wrote to you. I want to explain a little about our Sabbath to you and then send you a link that can give you better information. Not all Jews around the world observe our holidays or our Sabbath. The Sabbath starts on Friday and ends on Saturday night. It is a day of rest and to be with family and friends. No work is supposed to be done and that includes driving. Mostly religious Jews observe the Sabbath and Jewish Holidays. We use a hot plate or what we call a plata to heat up the food. I plug it into the socket and it heats up the food. Now, here is a link to give you more information: Here is a picture of the plata. I tried twice to respond to you but each time I came back here it disappeared.

Yes, I do understand many things and wish I could figure out some and have peace and quiet and live with Sophie is quiet and enjoy our holidays and our Sabbath days. I bought 4 pairs of socks and put two of them on the table and they were gone and he left me with two. I looked a way for a second and then when looked back they disappeared. He breaks my earrings. He broke my phone. We used to be comfortable before he came along and also before the scam ones came along. I fell for their bull for a little bit and then finally woke up and glad that I did not let them isolate me from people that do help me and care about me. That is what they wanted to do and also steal from me.

I get it because when I am not here for a few days it is hard to get back on the computer again. I know when we moved I was without the computer for a short period of time and it was hard to come back but had all this new stuff to learn so it was harder. I was gone from Friday night to Monday morning and it was hard to get back to it again.

It's tough to get back after a break. We call it inertia . I am feeling that right now. I have to go back to the work from Wednesday after two months. The summer vacation is over.

Wow, two months is a long time. Can you work at home instead of going there? That is hard to go back to work after a very long break like that. Good luck to you. I hope the day goes by fast.

I am sorry that you cannot work at home and have to go into the school. Do you teach or what do you do in the school? If you teach, what grade do you teach and what subject do you teach? I am sorry if you told us before, but, if so, I forgot.

@Hannihar We are back to full time offline school. No more virtual classroom teaching now. It might come back to online classes if covid cases increase again. So, I can't work from home and have to go to the physical school.

I am glad it will not be an adjustment for you to go back to the computer. It is always nice to see you here and also I like when you talk about the cats and how they are doing and share stories about Dustin's garden and your neighbor friend.

Lately I've been taking weekends off from the computer and yes I find it a little hard to get back in the swing of things when Monday rolls around again.

I just now saw this so this is why I did not answer you before. That is ok that you do not have problems with a break.

Here in my city it's difficult to sit in front of the computer because of the heat of the summer.

Hi Hanni. Yes, after a long hiatus I find it harder to bounce back to the active flow of things. But will try to slowly catch up though.

Have you taken a break from the computer? I have things outside of home that I have to do and we have our Sabbath which is Friday night and Saturday and Jewish holidays where I cannot be on the computer so have many breaks.

Good for you for taking a break from your e-mail when on vacation. That is nice that when you are vacation you are concentrating on your vacation and not the computer.
