Food Porn: 'Vinegar-Braised Swamp Cabbage'

My younger brother cooked 'sauteed mung beans' for lunch and it was a good meal. After having it, I volunteered to cook 'vinegar-braised swamp cabbage' and it is well-known in my country as 'adobong kangkong.' This vegetable dish will be served for dinner later. I am trying to keep on cooking so that it will add to my soft skill at present. As of tomorrow, a new meal will be cooked called 'ampalaya con carne' (bitter gourd with beef sirloin). Do you cook meal in advance sometimes? Are you the master chef in the house?

@allen0187 I agree. If I am not that lazy during my younger years, I might be a good cook by now. Regardless, it is not too late to be one, right?

I guess you can still cook if someone cannot do it in the house, right?

I have never heard/had the above dish. It looks good. I'm only good at cooking desserts and yes i do prepare these during the weekend and they normally last a week.

I am not into dessert things. It is not my cup of tea yet. I must say that the local dish posted is a yummy one and not that expensive to prepare, too.

Your husband is lucky to have you in his life. If I am going to marry someone, she needs to be a good cook. Did you learn cooking from your lovely mom?

I also noticed that, too. When I went abroad before, it was a struggle in cooking.

My nephew is the master chef, but he lives next door. I am a good enough chef , but my son doesn't like cooking.

Yes, to save time and electricity i cook rice for the whole day consumption. I am not a master chief but i can cook basic food. Adobong kangkong is one of my favorite ulam. It is just funny cause kangkong had lots of english name but majority call it water spinach. In malaysia it is also called kangkong

I also felt surprised knowing the other names of 'kangkong.' I love this meal, too. I do this so that it will not be a hassle for other family members to cook for dinner.

I cook in advance those meals that are good re-heated, usually I prefer to cook what we eat just before serving.

It is ideal to eat the meals while they are still hot.
