I’ve made a collage of some of the antique items that were in the house where we stayed for a fortnight. At each end of the mantelpiece over the old fireplace was a vase, one of which I’ve shown in the top left photo. The roses were very well done and the two pieces had no flaws whatsoever. I can’t imagine what they’d be worth.
On a shelf below the mantelpiece was the ornate red glass vase shown lower right. It was difficult to get a good photo of it but there was no way I was going to chance dropping it so I just took a photo where it stood.
The beautiful basin and jug were in the spare room which also held the child’s pram and a stuffed horse. I’ve never seen an ‘unreal’ horse in such a position but many a time horses will chew in this manner at an itch on their foot.

They're all beautiful pieces and I wouldn't have dared touch them, either. I'm usually not clumsy but there's always a chance I'd drop something.

@JudyEv Oh, yeah. I would have hated damaging anything there. I'm sure you were both careful.

@wolfgirl569 Unusual, isn't it? It seems a bit odd to make one like this.

@JudyEv Yes, better than having to chip away any ice that formed overnight.

Lovely findings. The red glass- here we call "Cranberry" glass . My dad loved to collect glassware

I thought the glassware might have had a special name. I wish I'd taken a better photo of it.
