Write A Letter.

When was the last time you picked up pen and paper and wrote a letter? Do you even have writing paper and pens around.?
Well today, September 1, 2022 is World Letter Writing Day.
It is a day when people are encouraged to pick up a pen and write a letter. It is also a day when you can learn something about the art of letter writing.
I know these days most everyone is into computers and emails etc, but with a letter you get that personal touch - especially a love letter.
I wonder which is safer from prying eyes - a handwritten letter or an online one.
By the way are you left or right handed?
World Letter Writing Day was created by Australian author, artist and photographer, Richard Simpkin in 2014.

I don't think I've written any letters in several years but yes, I do have notepaper and pens in my bedroom. I am right handed.

@Kandae11 True. I mostly send texts to everybody now. A very few people I call and talk with them.

Gosh. It has been AGES. Even the last ones I wrote were not hand written but typed on the computer and printed. I guess I don't feel the need to do it anymore with texts and Facebook and instant messaging and email.
Writing a letter might feel barbaric to me. lol

Back in the good old days I used to love writing letters. Now I haven't hand-written more than a few birthday or anniversary cards here and there and my penmanship has gotten horrible. But I do love pens and I have plenty of notecards and paper on hand. I remember the days when I would be thrilled getting a box of fancy stationary.
I'm right handed

Most letters I write and send these days are of the complaint about a company's service variety. I think with social media available people feel these methods are sufficient enough to communicate with others.
Even receiving a birthday or other card with a personal note has been replaced by a text message & photo. No stamps. Sign of our changing times. Right-handed. Guess I'm obsolete, I still send cards for special occasions.

I have not written a letter for decades. I do write short messages on greetings cards sent to my friends living overseas.

I don't have a lover to write a letter to. Yes, I had to write a FIR in my own handwriting after I was robbed on 30th July 22.

I haven't penned a handwritten letter in at least 20 years! I don't have good control of my writing hand (right) anymore, and it makes it hard to write legibly. As far as being safer from prying eyes, I'm going to go with handwritten letter being more private.
