It hurt!

Yesterday, while lighting the fireplace, I caught my finger between two logs. It immediately started to swell and turn purple, the pain was so severe that I thought I had broken it.
I immediately applied ice and then I realized that I could move my finger well, but today it still hurts and it has this color that you can see in the photo.
I'm applying an ointment for the bruises but I think it will take a few days for this color to disappear.
It rained a lot yesterday so I didn't leave the house but I ended up getting hurt. Most accidents happen at home, right?

Today it is much better, only a slight pain now, I think the ointment is working.

We cook our own food and therefore it's natural we sometimes meet with accidents at home and hurt ourselves.

In ancient times, if their hands hit a piece of wood or even got burned, they would use toothpaste so they wouldn't get bruised all the time.

If it hurts a lot, apply an ice pack. That usually helps with deep bruises like that. Hope it's better soon.
