Giddy as Children

This is the third snowman this year built by a couple of the residents. They built it before daybreak. Another resident added the scarf. I took these pictures outside with my slippers on. My feet got wet and cold, but it didn't matter. Though I put my shoes on for the second round of the hallway. The smiles of the residents who ventured out their doors this morning looked as giddy as when they were children when it snowed. The plow finally showed up. They're usually here by three in the morning. So the driveway and parking lot are now plowed. I have over 3000 steps this morning, walking inside and out. I didn't venture too far from the door. I'm almost finished with breakfast and I have a load of wash in the washing machine across the hall. Now that the storm is here, my hip pain is gone. Even my rib feels good this morning. I took Ibuprofen before going to bed last night, which might have something to do with the lack of rib pain.
