When mom died last year she suffered and battled cancer for 22years. Everyday she bargained her life to God to give her strength each day. She used to be myLot writer also. Each day of battling her cancer being brave enough to face death everyday. But still she managed to live up to the fullest of life, until her health starts to deteriorate because of some complications. Every month is doctors' appointments, treatments, laboratory blood works and other stuff. Taking 20-30 different kinds and milligrams of medicines everyday was very hard for her. She used to cry everytime she needs to take her meds, but because we encourage her to take those and she has to if not she will be hospitalized again. I remember those times that she was declared cancer free for the first time we were so happy until years past she had recurrence and then she undergone the same procedures for those treatments needed again, it was a cycle. Until the doctors told us that they have nothing to do anymore because she had already reached the maximum times of radiation therapy. Chemo is not an option. We've seen her struggling grasping for her air to breathe, oxygens are not enough to sustain the air until we decided to opt to DNR but she refused she fought for her life up to her last days. Now, we know that wherever she is right now, we hope she's happy & peacefully resting in God's loving arms.
