Our first two days of Easter break

Friday the baby and I went to Walmart. While we were shopping I heard an announcement that the registers were down. Fast forward a half hour and when we were done shopping we went to pay and saw all the the registers had lines about 10 carts deep. I waited in line 45 minutes. So many people up and left cartloads of groceries that all the workers were pulled off the registers and from every department to put things back. So instead of opening all the registers where people had been waiting they only opened self checkout and made us move to those lines. So then it was another 15-20 minute wait before I was able to checkout. I was so glad to be out of there. They had passed of cookies to everyone waiting in line that was the only bright side. At 2am my daughter came home having an allergic reaction to Singulair she started again after being off it for many months. Today my husband and I took the baby to an Easter Egg hunt at 11am. A little boy found two prize eggs and gave the baby one so she got a cute little hamburger squishmallow. They had a puppet show, free lunch, free popcorn, goody bags for each kid, a bounce house. My niece was there and wanted to come home with us so she stayed until 5pm playing with the baby. We went for a walk around the property and the baby was giggling at my niece and the dog running. @rakski they can only keep one prize egg and the baby was so lucky he chose to give her his extra one.

@Daddyevil I don’t like the daffodils at all but these were the first two flowers I’ve seen in bloom around here. Hope you had a nice Easter!

@shaggin I like daffodils. Easter is just another day for us. Pretty doesn't seem to be doing well... I can't tell if she's sick or if she's depressed. She's slept 24 hours again.

Here the Easter break this year and I think the past 3 years has been the week before Easter. Which I think is silly.

@dfollin no i thought that’s what you meant with what I wrote above. Yes here they had off Friday and Monday not a very long break but it never is for Easter.

@allen0187 probably wasn’t a good day for my oldest due to the allergic reaction and the Walmart fiasco was a pain but otherwise things were good.

@allen0187 yes she is fine thanks. Wednesday she goes to the doctor and will get new medication for the asthma and have a mole looked at.

@allknowing I’m not a fan of the daffodils but it was one of the first two blooms I’ve seen and something to share here. It was so sweet of him. She loved her prize! So did my older daughter

. Have you heard of squishmellows? Not sure if that’s spelled correctly.

@LadyDuck crocuses are pretty. Usually the first signs of spring in this area. The baby is actually afraid to do the egg hunts for some reason. My husband had to carry her around hand her eggs and then she would put them in her basket.

@RebeccasFarm I love to far away to get delivered to my home for any thing like bread, milk, bananas etc. I can do store pick up but that wouldn’t have helped in this situation

@wolfgirl569 she’s all better from the allergic reaction and the pills were tossed. I made an appointment for her for next Wednesday to get a mole looked at and new asthma medication.

@Judyev thankfully when the baby got fussy i could use the stores wifi on my phone to let the baby watch a few episodes of Maggie and the Ferocious beast. I usually only let her watch it once a week when I cut her finger nails but my husband turns it on for her all the time. I wish I had a book with me so I could have done something other than just stand there. My feet did get sore after walking around for an hour getting groceries then another hour standing in line.

@Kandae11 sorry I have been busy and then was without wifi for 9 hours last night so am behind on notifications. The Singulair my daughter was taking for asthma. It’s used for allergies too so I think here is allergy induced asthma.

Such pretty blooms you have. Waiting in line is so frustrating. I shop online the majority of the time. How nice of the little boy to give your baby a prize egg. Sounds like a very nice day.

@CarolDm the daffodils I don’t like but grow in my yard . I see purple and yellow crocuses in town but haven’t taken a walk yet by them to get a photo. That little boy sure was sweet to give her his extra prize egg.

@Shavkat I usually am pretty calm about it but when the baby started getting very fussy I got nervous. I let her watch a cartoon episode on my phone and she was happy then.

@jstory07 the baby was very nervous during the egg hunts but it was still fun to take her. So nice to have a little one again to do these things.

@sol_cee yes it was so sweet of the boy to pick her to give his extra prize egg. Yes I got one cookie for me and one cookie for the baby. They are my favorite cookies too!!
