Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
I woke up in a good mood today and planned to share with you my style of cooking vegetable tofu. I believe that tofu really don`t have a taste but I love the texture. So, in order for me to enjoy it. I marinate it first and bake it. The marination is simple It is just soy sauce and apple cider vinegar. I live it for 1 minute or until I see that the tofu absorbed the sauce. Then, I bake it with the Air fryer for 5 minutes with 190 degree After that, I set it aside and fry the vegetables with garlic and onion. After that, I put the tofu and fry it together for a few minutes. Then eat it with steamed rice
How about you my dear mylotters? Have you tried to marinate and baked your tofu?
I hope you can share it with me here
Have a great day and see you around any post
Happy mylotting and Thank you for dropping by

Good morning... I'm glad you're having a nice day. It's storming here and the temperature is dropping again. Currently, it is 4C outside and dropping.
I finally remembered to ask Pretty if we've ever eaten tofu and she said we haven't. I didn't think we had but had to ask just to make sure...

@m_audrey6788 Thank you. The thunder and lightning isn't bad now. I think the worst of the storm is moving away from us. It's just raining now.
Since I asked Pretty about it she wants to try it now. I'm sure she'll buy some when we go grocery shopping around the 5th of May. I guess I'll get to try it whether I want to or not.

I fry tofu then I simmer them in oyster sauce and fermented black beans with pork and cilantro. Its Hokkien chinese dish. You can remove the pork to make it vegan or replace it with other meat if you are Halal or Kosher. The dish is called Pork and Tofu

@m_audrey6788 I also learned to make Burmese Tofu which is tofu made of chickpea flour. You can bake it and fry it like soy tofu. What makes it different rom soy tofu? Its yellow and people with soy allergy can eat them.
here is the recipe

We tried tofu but we could not develop a taste for it. We do eat paneer( Indian cottage cheese) and I make similar kind of recipe with marination.
Your dish looks tempting

I eat a lot of tofu. I usually marinate tofu with oyster sauce. Or, just deep fried it.

I haven't eaten tofu for a long time, but yes previously I have marinated it and cooked it with vegetables like you did, and it is tasty.
It has basically no flavour on its own so you can flavour it with what you like. I even have a recipe for a chocolate tart made with tofu that is surprisingly good!

I love tofu. I haven't tried baking and marinating tofu. Maybe I'll try that next time. Your recipe reminds me of adobong tofu except that yours is air-fried.

What a coincidence we also had tofu for lunch and dinner. It was sliced, fried and we dip in soy sauce and citrus (calamansi). We ate it with bittergourd vegetable.
