Unexpected Call at 4:00 AM

Today, I am a bit sluggish, like a sloth. Just imagine yourself being awakened at 4:00 AM, which happens to me. My uncle's wife was calling me at that particular time, but I did not receive the call. I was so tired that I tried to continue my sleep. But I am having a hard time doing it. Then one of my aunts called me at 8:00 AM. It was an opportunity for me to ask her about the earlier call, and I found out that it was not an intended call for me. Gosh! Have you experienced this situation before? How would you feel? Not with calls, no... But my sister often adds me to community text messages that have nothing to do with me and I don't know anyone else talking with her. I think she adds me by accident but can't be sure of that.

Why not ask her? I do have a group chat with my current company. I sometimes irritated because it affects working mode. They keep on sending nonsense messages.

@Shavkat Because I just delete it from my phone so am not bothered until she adds me to another one. Have you reported the nonsense messages?

It's a good thing you didn't pick up the phone since they would have interrupted your peaceful sleep. Nonetheless, it can be annoying to get calls at that time because they may remind you of various things, such as a family emergency. Thank goodness it wasn't that.

@Shavkat That is true. I seldom receive calls at that time. I usually receive text early in the morning work related which can be stressful especially when deadlines are needed to be done.

Despite ignoring the call as early as that, I still have the thinking that there is an emergency thing. I honestly don't like it.

I once got a call from a relative at 4 or 5 in the morning. It was totally unexpected as we hadn't met or talked in a long time. I couldn't talk then. There was no further communication. Else such early morning calls are rare. Some of such calls make one feel very worried since it is such an early time. I hope things are going fine for your aunt.

@Shavkat Yes as there is a lot of unknowns and stress factors in such conditions.

This is also what I felt. I was worried that she or my uncle is having an urgent matter. I do hate being called so early in the morning. I cannot function so well for being in this situation.

You are so right. So, I just stood up and cooked a meal for lunch today. I will take a nap later in the afternoon to catch up with my sleep.

It’s no fun when that happens It happens to me way more than I’d like it too. I’ve been feeling sluggish lately too! My son used to sleep through the night but has stopped so it has been very little sleep for me lately!

I can feel you with that situation. My younger brother's twin babies used to be awake at night or so early in the morning. I am glad that the sleep cycle changed. Try to take a nap if you have the chance.

Not exactly like that, but I have gotten wrong numbers in the night. It is very disruptive.

I will be in rage if it is a wrong number. I cannot understand why some people do it. I hope it is not like pranking innocent souls.

Ugh. A call woke you up at 4am that was not intended for you. I am glad you went back to sleep. My now deceased grandmother once called me at 3:45am one morning thinking she was calling her son, my uncle. It was very disorienting.

I was so disoriented and puzzled for seeing a call at 4:00 AM. I accepted her apology for doing it not intended. I hope it would not happen again, unless it is really an urgent situation.

That is my normal time to wake up but I would not be happy getting a call at that hour

It seems that you are really an early bird. It is not a good feeling being disturbed so early.

I do not bring my phone in our bedroom. Should someone make mistakes I would not hear the phone.

I would like to do that, but my mobile is my storyteller at night before sleeping.

@Shavkat My husband gets migraines from those devices, I never bring electronics in the bedroom. I read a book before sleeping and this is a lot better for our health.

I recall an old friend calling me from another country. He asked what time it was and I said 2 am. Then after finding out I was asleep, he was prolonging the conversation and I had to cut that out!

That is not good thing to do. He needs to be sensitive despite informing him the real time.

Calls so late always mean bad news. Glad it was just a mistake.

I am glad that it was not a piece of bad news. I cannot deal with such a situation while being disoriented due to waking up so early.

Why call you the first thing if it wasn't your call? I mean not intended for you?

It was not intended because she was trying to contact her daughter. I believed that my cousin came home so early by bus. She wanted to know if the daughter needs to be picked up from the bus station.

Oh... That's quite horrible. As usually the call at that time is not a good news. I am afraid to pick up very late/early call.

I think I need to use that, too. My uncle's wife didn't even try to send a message after mistakenly doing it. I was a bit worried that someone is having a problem or so.

It's awful being woken from a deep sleep and especially so if the call wasn't for you anyway.

Sometimes it is so frustrating to deal with this kind of situation. If they can just say sorry at least, I would feel less frustrated.
