Tulip Poplar Blooms in Backyard

I have many trees in the front and backyard. Sharing a photo of my tulip poplar tree. A fact some may not know is this tree is not related to tulip flowers but is actually a member of the Magnolia family.
So relaxing to walk around the yard and see new spring surprises all around. Nature always has a treat to share with all of us.
The birds, including hummingbirds and butterflies enjoy the pollen inside these blooms. Another plus to have two of these in my backyard. They are about 30-40 feet tall now. Shades my backyard as well.
I have other trees I am enjoying as well. And will share more as time allows. Hope you are all doing well. Another rainy weekend here. But the plants and trees need the rain. It is welcome here.

I wonder what the age is when we stop thinking about rain as to how it affects our plans, and start thinking how it will benefit the nature all around us. I think I shifted my thinking about 25 years ago.
You've shared a lovely picture, once again.

@CarolDM Our last mower mulched the flowers up. The new one just left them flat on the ground.
Oh, yeah!

@DaddyEvil I don't notice a mess with the blooms. I guess the lawnmower and the wind takes care of them. Gotta have that AC.

The Sun looks really bright in the picture.
Good Tulip Poplar tree growth.
I can imagine the height and the shade plus the blessed environs for the various birds.
Enjoy such beauty of nature.
Have a nice Saturday!

So pretty. We are hoping to have the landscaper plant some butterfly bushes in our front weed bed. Hopefully we'll get some butterflies and hummingbirds. Are there any plantings you recommend for hummingbirds?

@LindaOHio Yes indeed, they love the color red. But also the plants they can get their long beaks in, so they can get all the nectar out.

Hummingbirds like nectar blooms. And of course red is their favorite color. I always have my Hibiscus tree on the deck close to the feeder. They love it and visit as much as the feeder. Any plants that offer nectar are a win for them. Snapdragons, petunias, salvia, fuschia, all are good ones too.

Rainy weather may not always be enjoyable, but as you mentioned, it's an essential part of maintaining healthy plant life. And of course, the benefits of healthy plants extend far beyond just their aesthetic appeal, so it's definitely a good thing overall.
