Cherry season has begun here. It is a fruit that I love, when I moved into my house I planted a cherry tree in the garden, but it did not grow much and has very few cherries. Mine are not yet ripe, but the tree should only have 10 cherries. I have to keep an eye on them otherwise the birds eat them, as soon as they are red I have to pick them.
My aunt knows that I like cherries a lot and as she has several cherry trees, every year I go there to pick some for us. This morning I picked up a bucket full of them. I bring some to eat as an afternoon snack and they will be the dessert today
Do you like cherries? Do you have it in your country?

I really like cherries. I start buying them when they appear in the grocery store and keep buying more until they're gone from the stores again.

@nela13 They're expensive here, too. But I like them enough that I'll pay the price for them.
You're very lucky your aunt gives them to you.

@allknowing you don't need to import it from other countries, that is good.

I love cherries especially dark, sweet cherries. It will be a while before they are available here.

I do like cherries in black forest cakes. I don't know if we have cherries here in the Philippines but I am pretty sure that we don't have it. I read in an article before that most cherries in can are bleach because it will make it as bright red as possible. What do you think?

Regrettably, our province has been experiencing intense sleet in recent days, resulting in damage to the delicate cherry trees. Farmers are understandably displeased with this harsh interference by nature, as it has dealt a significant blow to their crops.
