If someone is going to worry about how I'm dressed, I don't go.

I like to be comfortable. Years ago I bougth a black silky pair of pants that look awesome with any top. I have a couple of tops that look more or less dressy depending on the bottoms. And that´s all.

I hardly go anywhere these days. A pant suit would be my choice.

I do have a pair of long sweat pants I wear when I have to visit a doctor or the food bank as well as regular shirts that I wear to said places.

Dress comfortably. Business casual is comfortable for me or just casual.

I wear a nice pair of loose fitting slacks, with a comfortable, but slightly dressy top. I recently bought some that I feel I could wear to church, an evening with a friend, or going to the doctor. I want to look nice, but with my back like it is, I absolutely have to be comfortable.
If you want me to show an example, let me know. Because I don’t know if I described that well.

You and I are like minded. Comfort is most important to me when it comes to what I wear anywhere. Of course I need to like the look of the garments too.

If one has to wear fashionable clothes I think they should also be comfortable in those clothes,

Yes. My cousin is having a wedding reception in August. I want to comfortable when I go. I have two dresses and a skirt I can wear. They are very comfortable.

I usually love silk sarees for occasions and don't like wearing them in summer and therefore avoid occasions in summer.

@Jenaisle I used to wear sarees at home too but I don't now as it needs a lot of accessories like blouse and petticoats and lot of space to dry.

It depends on the special occasion. I think a black dress or a black skirt/top combo is an easy go-to for female human beings, of which I am one. I have also gotten away with tan slacks, a black top, and a jacket for less formal affairs.
It also pays to think about who is at the event. My boyfriend prefers for me to dress in lighter colors, for example, so if he is at an event I may cater to his preferences.

@laser_vision I was looking forward to your discussions but I find none. I hope you do post.

No worries, here are a couple:

That is what I felt like talking about for now. Perhaps in the future I will embark on more posts relating to clothes, since I do sew. Unfortunately construction of house, office, and furniture has proven to be a more urgent matter.
Eventually I will likely have the luxury of more philosophical musings.

I wore a pair of black pants with a sequined black top to a wedding a couple of years ago. That's the last special occasion that I went to. Be comfortable but maybe dress up a little bit.

I usually wear something casual. For special occasions such as attending wedding dinner, I dress up a bit. But feeling comfortable is the most important.
