Dog Vaccines

Yesterday was the day to go with my dog, Balu, to get his vaccines. Here there is an animal vaccination plan drawn up by the city councils. The municipal veterinarian goes to the neighborhoods and villages on designated days to vaccinate the animals. A small consultation is made and only the amount of vaccines is charged. This is an affordable way to give our pets the vaccines they need. Balu behaved a bit badly, when we arrived the other dogs were all calm but Balu started barking at everyone, he is a small breed dog and the vet insisted on saying that the smallest dogs tend to be the most troublesome. But he behaved well when he received the vaccine. Do you usually vaccinate your pets? Are your dogs misbehaving? Picture of balu vaccination card.

@nela13 They take some work but I don't have to walk them at odd times, that's true.

I have started only getting my dog her rabies vaccine after reading that indoor dogs need fewer vaccines. I heard vets online say that so I ran it by my veterinarian. I wish more people would follow your example, and get their dogs vaccinated. It’s very important.

My dog is always outside so he really needs the vaccines. Yes, our pets need proper care so they can have a long and healthy life.

Here it isn't free but at least is more affordable than taking the dog to the vet.

We do not have a dog, but we vaccinated the adopted cat we have. I think the vet is true, I notice here around that the smaller dogs are those who bark more.

@nela13 - I can understand. My husband often jokes saying that they bark to be sure people see them and do not step on them.

@LadyDuck Mine is easily seen, I think it's a way of showing that they're not afraid of the big ones.

Small dogs seem to have a problem with their size, probably that is the reason why they bark to big dogs.

I think most people here vaccinate their pets but I don't know if it is compulsory or not.

I hope your pup will behave better next time. I have not any trouble with my pets although all of them hated going to the Veterinarian.

Our dog is well behaved when it's time for the vaccination even though she's not very happy to be at the vet.

It's mandatory here. I still have my dog's vaccine tags on my keychain, even though it's been years since I had them.
