That's what came to my mind. Very strange... those machines are pretty big and heavy, you'd really have to be wrestling with it to get it to tip over. I guess if you gotta have your Skittles, you really gotta have them.

This is what happens when you put your hatd eanred money into the vending machine, the snack gets stuck, and you rock the machine to try to shake, what legally belongs to you, loose, and the stupid machine fall on you. The trick is to have a friend shake the machine, falling on him, then get your snack.

that would be my first guess, because think about it, you are jonesing for a candy bar or chips and you go to the vending machine, put ur money in and the wire starts to turn and turn and then stops but you snack does not drop!!! first thing you do is start to shake it, and if you shake those things to hard they will tip over.

My first guess would be that people shake the machine too hard and the vending machine falls on top of them casing massive trauma that eventually kills them. My second guess is the food stays there awhile & hungry people don't check experation dayes a lot of the time, & they may get food posioning & die.

I can understand the falling of the machine forward onto the person. But the first thought that comes to my mind is food poisoning. Those machines that provide sandwiches and dairy products and the like. How long do the products actually sit in there and what if there is a power shortage? Would you want to get the surprise tuna sandwich with salmonella delight added? How about chunky choclate milk? Too scary for me to venture there! I will stick with the local deli or grocer since they don't tend to fall on you and they include a person to help you in you choice.

I guess the thing fell on them? That would be my luck! Or all the food is so full of stuff we can't pronounce that it causes our health to plummet?

That is weird I guess it would be from them shaking the vending machine and it falls on top of them. I have never heard of anyone dying from a vending machine before though.

I had a friend break his arm from a vending machine. He's lucky it wasnt his neck. He was trying to get a free soda by putting his arm up the slot and it toppled on him. Thoses things are almost 1,000 lbs when filled. Others try to shake out the sodas when stuck or to get free ones and then same thing happens. All to save a lousy dollar and change.
