Has this happened to you?

I was mylotting on my phone today when I saw a message on the screen telling me that my iPhone can't be backed up as I don't have enough available storage. I can manage my storage in settings.
Since I am pretty much maxed out on my 16 GB phone I clicked on the message, thinking it would take me to the page on my phone where it will tell me how much space is being taken up by photos, apps, messages, etc., and how much of it is left on my phone.
It turned out to be an ad. As soon as I realized that I closed the page it was trying to open. Not sure what site it was taking me too.
Something like that has never happened to me before.
Have you ever come across something that turned out to be an ad but you thought it was something else?

Is it really the cloud or someone making you think it's from the cloud? I think I've gotten emails a few times about my cloud storage but they weren't legit.

@lovebuglena it is my cellphone's default system that can set savings that are not used to be deleted automatically.

@lovebuglena I do not like to use my phone for the same reasons. My desktop computer is always there ready to be used, I think I never used my phone for myLot.

I do not like mylotting on my phone. Either it's autocorrect or my hands hitting the wrong keys but I end up with lots of typos and have to correct them. And I probably don't catch everything. I hate that. But sometimes I just don't feel like taking out my laptop, have no time for that, or am not home so use the phone.

Those scammers sending emails from your bank, from paypal, etc. are getting really good at making the emails look legit.

That's never happened to me. But I do get scam messages a lot through email. Thank goodness they go to the Junk box.

I've encountered this many times. They are invasive. Just trying to urge you to dowload yet another spyware app you don't need.
