A health scientist claimed that life expectancy would increase if we followed the eight habits. It seems that it is still related to having a checklist and enjoying the beauty of the aging process. Here are the eight healthy habits: 1. Healthy diet. 2. Enough sleep. 3. Do exercise. 4. Do stress management. 5. Moderate of drinking alcohol. 6. Not puffing cigarettes. 7. Being positive with people. 8. Not addicted to opioid Do you believe that starting a healthy lifestyle is never too late? Image Credit: longlifefunlife.com

Theoretically, the healthy habits checklist make sense.I believe these habits are positive and will help to live longer. Though whether ppl can fulfill item of list rest with self-discipline,which is critical in our life.

I hope we could also do them without any shortcomings. They were being studied for us to ponder, either to accept them or not.

@jefferson126 I am sure some cannot sustain or even do them. It is still their discretion. It's my pleasure to share.

This list seems very obvious. I don't think it can be too late, because even if you're old, doing these things will make you feel better.

Indeed, it is obvious for us to do. If we do want to live longer and be with our loved ones, we need to do them as much as possible.

According to study, if we are 40 and do these habits, it will add more 20 years to live longer.

@Shavkat Well, I am already 72. I do not care to leave 20 more years.

I do believe that's true but why live like a monk in a monastery if you aren't a monk in a monastery? That checklist would force me to give up things I LIKE doing... I don't need a long life that badly.

I am open to the possibility of living to be 100 years old without experiencing any serious illnesses. I hope I can follow these eight habits religiously.

I agree. Unfortunately, it is not easy for some to do them regularly. Like me, I sometimes have cheating day at random.

These are all very sensible points but some are still going to die in what seems to be before their time.

You have a point. These are good habits, but some people still die despite doing them religiously.

I do most of those anyway, but many people believe that living a long life depends on your genes. It will also depend on how lucky you are or where you live, poverty and environmental circumstances can also affect how long a person lives for. However I do think that the list is good advice for people who want to live healthier lives while they still can.

You are right. It needs the will to do them. If a person does not have the strong will, then these eight habits cannot be carried out.
