Do You Like to Dance?

Whether it's salsa, tango, waltz, square, line, River, jig, disco, polka, the Swim or the Monkey, do you like to dance?
Archaeological evidence shows that dancing existed 10,000 years ago. Before the existence of a written language there was dance. Dance was used in ancient times to pass stories down from one generation to another, for healing rituals, etc.
It's been a long time since I've danced; but I remember doing the Twist, the Jerk and many of the popular dances of the 60s.
What dance memories do you have? What dances did you do?

Yes, I used to dance but haven't tried in years. My second wife enjoyed the Macarena, so I learned how to do that. In school, we were taught how to Square Dance.

I have two left feet, which apparently makes me the worst dancer in the world. My horrible dancing skills have surely amused hundreds—if not thousands—of people over the years. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is video footage of me out there somewhere that has appeared as an award-winning entry on America’s Funniest Home Videos.

When my parents were alive we had ballroom dancing lessons weekly. My mother loved to dance but my father wasn't a good dancer so she had her own dance partner. My father did try his best to always dance with her when there's a special occasion and they're asked to be on the dance floor which happened quite often as may father was a public figure.
I loved to dance back then too. But now, I have lost internet in dancing.

@LindaOHio Oh that's too bad. My dad enjoyed dancing. I remember when I was a kid and when his favorite song would play on the radio, he would automatically dance to it. He may not have been a good dancer, but he loved dancing.

I dance like nobody’s watching. I have the shades pulled and the lights off so I can make sure nobody’s watching!

When I was a young teen, we'd go to the Tasty Freeze where there was a room for kids to dance.

I used to love to dance. Until my knees started giving me trouble I thought nothing of dancing around the house while doing chores, etc. My younger days I enjoyed going to clubs and dancing the night away.

I like dancing to a good rock n' roll tune. And an occasional slow dance is really nice too.

No, I don't! Whatever kind of dance that is, I don't like dancing because dancing doesn't like me too hahaha... I'm a poor dancer. I only dance when required to participate like when there are programs at work or way back when I was still in school.
