Before the end of June this year, the concern brought people into a debate about where to put the ketchup in the fridge or cupboard. That makes citizens on social media separated by their opinions. To stop the issue, Kraft Heinz tweeted: "FYI: Ketchup. goes. in. the. fridge." Along this course, a survey was conducted. The result is remarkable, agreeing to Heinz for about 63%.
What do you think about the ketchup controversy?
Do you believe ketchup belongs in the refrigerator or the cupboard?

Ketchup is one of those funny foods. It's shelf-stable until it's opened and then needs to be stored in the fridge. It's a processed food but the high acidity makes it stable until opened.

My ketchup is in the cupboard until it's opened. Then it's in the fridge.

In the fridge only because ketchup is better cold than room temp. Still, I don't think it would spoil if left on the table compared to other processed foods.
How about you? Where do you keep your ketchup?

@Shavkat I agree. During the rainy season, like now, and during the colder months (Dec to Feb), I don't worry about leaving even food on the kitchen table because I know it won't spoil immediately.
