Goodness, was she drunk, or just afraid you weren’t breathing? That would annoy the heck out of me.

Your carer should know that no one should ever wake up people when in deep sleep. Complain about her.

I’d be irritated if such a thing happens to me. I do not want people waking me up, especially when I am in a deep sleep.

I will not feel good if being waken up from deep sleep. The situation will make me irritable.

@gilljane Carers are meant to be discreet people in another person’s home. Caters in my mothers care home always used to put the radio on for her and they’d tune it into some giddy DJ talking silly blethers and playing loud silly music. My mother was totally incapacitated and couldn’t even complain. I tuned it into classic fm which she liked and put a sticking plaster over the knob. I and shouting down the corridor that Mrs X needs a bed pan is not acceptable. Oh the woes of being cared for by people who think it’s all about them.
