As if I am not busy enough, I have decided to get some vendor space in an antique mall. For those that have known me for years here on the site, know I love antiques and have a lot of collectibles. I also used to have vendor space at an antique store several years ago, but the store got flooded along with the whole Baton Rouge area in 2016. When I had my stroke in 2017, I moved out of the store.
I found some space available in a nice vendor mall on a street in a small town near me in MS where there are 6-7 other like stores and vendor malls. It's a great little stop for a day or afternoon of shopping!
I was notified this morning that the other vendor has moved out and it is ready for me. I'm just waiting to view the contract to make sure everything is as stated.
Wish me luck!!

I'm really glad you're back on myLot, if I forgot to tell you that the other day.
Good luck with the new vendor space. I hope everything works out well for you.

Thanks, @Rebelann1949. I will have a booth in a store basically. All booths have numbers that identify me as the seller. So when a person buys and checks out, the sale is recorded as mine with my number. The store owner makes money off renting the booths/space out. This store does not take a percentage of sales for commission, which is one of the selling points of why I chose this store.

That sounds exciting! Don't push yourself too hard, though.

It does, doesn't it?? I'm very excited and ready to dive right in!! I'm going to try. I'm a little sore right now from all the "extra." I spend my day after boutique work, which is my usual rest day, getting the hope chest all ready to go into the store, then drove it over and we unloaded it. Then had an errand to run for hubby and ended with dinner at Applebees!

@1creekgirl That just makes less I have to do on Tuesday and secured my booth. No other space in that store open right now.

I did that same thing and had a booth for a time. It was an active place and I did fine on it, but as life went on it just got to be too much work, plus it was open every weekend...and the booth would be pretty empty and I would have to start from scratch. You do earn every dime you make doing a booth. Good luck and don't work too hard!

@MarieCoyle That is how it goes unless you have some sure fire winners/sellers in there that you know will bring a nice profit!

Yes, I had to pay booth rent, and it wasn't cheap. I always came out with a profit, but not always a big one.
