I took this picture at 7:00 am which on DST would have been 8:00 am. This is on the east side of the house.
This is when children are arriving at school, which means they were walking earlier. And until December 21 it will just get darker.
I'm glad to set my clock back for these dark months. Daylight Saving Time doesn't work in the winter.

I always hated driving to work in the dark and then driving home in the dark, too. Same for getting up for school and then getting home with almost no daylight left in the day.
I wish the US would stay with one time or the other. Changing the time doesn't make sense anymore.

@paigea And the kids would have some daylight in the afternoon when they want to play outside. In the morning, they're still half asleep when they climb on the bus to go to school.

@DaddyEvil many many kids walk to school. I find the regular Mountain Standard Time gives them the best balance of some light for getting to and from school.

It looks beautiful but alittle spooky. It reminds me of an illustration in a scary book.

If you mean stop talking about changing what we do now I agree. If you mean stop changing the time I can't agree.
We had a vote here last year. So I paid close attention while driving to school all November and December,
Daylight Saving would be terrible in the winter.

Lovely picture. I wish they would just leave it alone
