It's cold and windy today, so I've opted to work at home. I'm okay with that because I don't get paid until Thursday, so I was thinking of at least staying home today or tomorrow. I've been going long enough that they may not care if I don't order something, but I care. It's a small/local business and I want to support them. Plus, I enjoy the menu lol. They added a bar with stools and more outlets, providing more seating for those of us with laptops and tablets. The comfy chairs were moved to the back room with a couch, open to customers, so that's pretty cool. I'm going to stick with the tables or bars rather than the couches though, simply because it's easier to work that way. Still, it's a pretty cool arrangement, and I always enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. But today is not a good day to head to the coffee shop. I'm not in the mood to brave the cold or spend the money. Welp, at least I'll catch up on my laundry lol. Right now, I'm doing some work on my Textbroker teams, and then I'm going to continue working on this Fiverr project, which closes this week. Later, I'm planning to grab a hot shower, relax, and fall asleep to "White Christmas." One of the songs played on a commercial during WWE Raw last night, and I thought, "Hey, I want to watch that!" White Christmas is a musical/movie that came out in 1954. It stars Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. Here's the plot from Google: Singers Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) join sister act Betty (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen) to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly (Dean Jagger), the boys' commander in World War II, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing. So what's the foursome to do but plan a yuletide miracle: a fun-filled musical extravaganza that's sure to put Waverly and his business in the black! Has anyone seen it? I've been watching the movie for years, as my family enjoys musicals (I discovered this one through my parents), but I realized last year that when you put it on at bedtime, and turn it down to a reasonable level, it's relaxing to fall asleep to. So, that's what I'm hoping to do tonight. :) It's on Netflix, so finding a way to watch it won't be a problem. Alrighty, I'm going to get back to work. You all have a great day/evening and take care. Hi Tammy, I’m looking through the discussions with no responses and this jumped out at me. I don’t know why it’s not been responded to, maybe no one has heard of the movie White Christmas? I very much doubt it though, as it’s a classic. Over here in the UK it is on every Christmas without fail. It’s a good feel good movie, but what surprised me was the age difference between the couples. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye were much older than their female love interests, and that was commonplace back in the day. You could ask, if I’m jealous about that. Maybe you’d be right. Anyway, I just wanted to get you out of the no response zone and into, we’ll, whatever the next zone is. You can get back to work now. Someone’s got to do it.

Aww thank you so much, and I apologize for the late response. Sometimes, posts go without responses, especially if they feel it's "too early" to discuss Christmas. I wonder if the character's ages were of the same gap. It's still a good movie to relax to, which may be necessary for me tonight lol. I really appreciate your response, thank you again!

@tammys85 No worries. You obviously have better things to do than to hang around here all day every day. It can get addictive and I too like to take a break. White Christmas is broadcast over here “live” on Christmas Eve on BBC2. I don’t think I’ll watch it as there is something else on another station that I haven’t seen before. It’s called, The Man Who Invented Christmas. Have you seen it? 7/10 on IMDb.

It was like that in a lot of the old films where older guys dated young girls. However back in the old days, people, especially men, seemed to look older for their age than they do now. I was watching some old film on Talking Pictures where the main character looked about fifty, and then he told somebody in the film he was thirty something. When a film is shown in black and white it can make them look a different age to what they really were at the time. In some of the black and white films ,the men all look very similar and I often get the characters muddled up.
